Just to clarify some of these points...

1) Take the vocals in this version solely to get the idea of the melody - I wasn't trying to sound great and I had a bit of a sore thought as well (as you can hear at "think twice")

2) What do you mean by the transition to the chorus - the actual beats themselves or the instrumentation on the whole?

3) This is the way the original singer pronounces "perfect li-i-ife" - I think it sounds odd to try and blend the vowel sounds together at that part, as you lose the accent on the note fluctuation (if that makes any sense to anyone!) It's also perhaps slightly more noticeable cos of my Scottish accent

4) If you're talking about the "chance - chance - chance..." echo, I wasn't sure about that at all - it was just an idea I had that didn't fully work as well as I'd hoped...

But anyway, thanks for the comments. Just so everyone else knows, I'm a lot more interested in what you think of the backing track and arrangement, as the vocals will definitely 100% change for the better

Ditz, despite your claim to having sub-par vocals due to a cold, I think you did an amazing job with this... even though I've never heard the original before. Could you maybe post a sample?

I know it's still very preliminary, but the first thing I notice about the production is how your vocals come out WAY too loud. Of course, fiddling with volume settings is always a neverending chore when you're creating a song, but I think it should certainly be near the top of your list of things to look at.

Like you said, you're not done with the vocals yet, but I hope you've considered a heavier set of vocal effects... your voice comes out a little too flatly.

The production could use some stronger percussive samples... I can't hear much of a bass drum and the hi-hat sounds a bit... well, synthetic, I suppose is the word. Good drum samples can make or break an EDM song.

Other than these few minor gripes, I thought it was really great and above all, an excellent start.

the_ditz - I like the music arangement in the song! one of the best i've heard from a fan-made song.

as for the vocals; I do know you've said they will be 100% different - but in the final I would like to see (or, more like hear, haha) harmonized vocals; i think that would fit pretty nice in this song. I didn't like the "chance-chance-chance" part; though if it was more suttle (and maybe, if it alternated from left to right) it would be pretty good.

Waitasec, are you saying you did this production in FL? That's even more impressive. It's hard to coax decent songs out of that thing. Especially with its disappointing array of samples.

Yeah, it was totally created in FL Studio - I have to say a massive thank you to Shinraikan for sorting me out with a couple of awesome plugins though, as without them it would sound pretty basic - like Cosmic Bard says, the standard samples you get with it aren't generally of the highest quality...

it sounds not bad...just the melodies are out of key and it sounds a bit odd...also trying eqing ur lead synths so they fit more into the track...im working on some "unqiue and dark" eurobeat.....take a listen and let me know!!
