You're not the only one buddy. It seems AVEX does thier best to keep Eurobeat all to themselves. Or maybe they just don't want to see a Pamsy track side by side with a SH**ty hip hop track in an even SH**tier mainstream TOP 40. At least Music Masters site is Internationally friendly. 8)

I liked this CD :)

The Delta songs were really good, especially the Sara and Delta Queens songs.

I found it amusing that all of the Hi-NRG Attack songs are all about sex. :D

The nonstop was good, a little on the short side. 63 minutes, not including the Dave Rodgers song at the end which was 5 minutes long. No car sounds what-so-ever, just the computer voice saying "Junction Produce" every 3-4 songs.

I listened to all the extended versions this morning on the way to work, and I can honestly say that there are only 2 songs that I really like and want to play again and again - Babyface and My Heart Goes Boom Boom.

Go Go's rescued a really ordinary CD from complete oblivion with that awesome song with SCP-esque production and a super-catchy hook. Of course, Pamsy is my favourite - it sounds more powerful than I expected, and even a little faster. Classic SCP sound - I'm surprised that drnrg likes this track and yet isn't that bothered about Pamsy's other tracks of this style (2love, 4love - So Fragile...) but it's all good!

Crazy For You sounds pretty cool, with a little SCP-style production influence mixed with that 80s vibe, but nothing else grabs me. The HRG songs sound quite generic and unremarkable, and everything else washes over to be honest.

More tracks may grow on me as time goes by, but at the moment this is a pretty disappointing album with only 2 standout tracks (although those standout tracks are AWESOME! :D)

Sorry about the double post, but this has to be brought to everyone's attention (especially drnrg...)

Listening to the tracks a bit more on the way home, I found myself liking the Mr. M track quite a bit. I thought "hey, that's a pretty cool synth hook going on there - sounds pretty much like...." and then it hit me....

Check out this sample if you don't believe me - Time morphing into SCP?

Yes indeedy - it appears that our old faithful friends at Time are starting to see the light by realising that the very best hooks actually come from SCP! The first synth line in the sample above is from "Once Upon A Time" by Pamsy while the second one is "The World Is You" by Mr. M. I reckon it's a case of change a few notes, lower the key by a few notes and bob's your uncle!!

Seriously - I couldn't believe this when it hit me. Wonder what drnrg makes of it all? Btw, this is a bit of fun and isn't meant to incite any hatred towards other labels - it's just making an incredibly valid (if perhaps coincidental?) point :)

It could be a sign of Time's waning creativity, but yeah, I actually liked The World Is You. Much better than most of Time's other newer releases.

Ha Ha that last post made me laugh if anything. I don't have the cd and the sample just cuts off before the main hook kicks in, but I do hear the similiarities. Actually I recall the main chorus as some classic Italo hook that I can't quite put my finger on, but IMOP, it could be that TIME just took some mediocre Pamsy song and has just made it better. 8) Like you ,I'm just having fun in my own Retorical way. Nice ear though, 8)

Honestly, I too like Time's style more that that Trancy Pamsy style.

I still prefer Once Upon A Time's SCP production, though.

Same - it sounds more full and complete somehow. Once Upon A Time still isn't my fave Pamsy song though

Pamsy all the way, although Baby Face was... lacking and uninspiring.

I like this album regardless of any gripes against it (Though I still think 177 is the best of the 170s).

Delta seems to take the cake again with Sara and Delta Queen's track. It is a pity that SCP is lacking in this album since I do not like Jay Lehr's track at all. Though definitely feeling the Abeat and TIME tracks as well. Overall a fun album for me

O_O

Once Upon A Time's riff with a riff I didn't recognize. Anyway, both riffs are... similar? I love both. But, I know that what comes up in Pamsy's song is the best.

My favorites of this album are Cherry, Sara and Annie. Great songs! I mentioned before that Cherry's chorus could have been stronger, but apart from that it is a great cover anyway!

This album highlights, in particular, the abating creativity of an array of labels. Not in the "oh this sounds like something else" sense, but deliberately robbing the soundworlds of other songs. Re: The World is You and Get My Hot Gun. Elements of the Sara song sound too much like Jimmy Ray's Down in Tokyo too. I love both though, so I guess it doesn't matter.

I agree with whoever said the chorus in Happenin' All Over Again is incredibly weak. Too airy, soft, and just flies by like it was nothing. It wasn't bad, but it could have been better.

My favourites were Babyface and The World is You (despite what I said before, I do love it), but I still remain true to what I said early in the thread that I would have much preferred another fresh SCP song.

My Heart Goes Boom Boom and Mystic Love were trash. The vocals, again, annoyed the heck out of me in both songs, and I didn't find them catchy at all. Sorry, had to say it. :x
