Mela - Sandy
Not impressed either. Even though it should be obvious to most, that song samples Let the Music Plays by David Dima & Krystal quite blatantly.
Oh come on Mauro!! Why such a blatant copycat of Let The Music Play? Had Dima never released that track, I'd actually really like this, but sadly Dima's production just has that little bit of extra "oomph" that yours lacks, and the vocals work so much better as a duet I reckon.
Very disappointing.
I'll tell you this before anybody thinks Dima know about this.
NO, they literally copied the riff, and didn't say ANYTHING about it to David Dima. I had to tell him, and he immediately sent out an email to mr. Farina.

-_- Just because it sounds like Let The Music Plays that means they listened to the said song before... It might just be coincidence

I can't say how much it sounds alike though. I haven't listened to it... lack of good quality extended.

There will be blood.
Or at least a lawsuit.

Who knows, maybe Saifam asked for permission to write a song that was inspired by Let The Music Plays. I wouldn't jump to the hasty conclusion that they're simply plagiarizing the track.

But like Darksky said, you would think that Dima would know something about it if they had asked to do this being the main producer and all...

This isn't the first or last TIME a Eurobeat song will resemble another one as strongly as this opne does. Big deal. What's more surprising is what made Saifam ressurect the Mela title? That alias hasn't been used since the 80's. The song This is My Way.

I don't see what the fuzz is either. In the early 90s Time and A beat C copied each other's song titles and parts all the time.
I think
I'll Be With You was the last Mela (1992).

or same label copying? Like Time's "Love For Money 2007" and "Wild Night" both on SEB184.

It's just lazy - there is no need to completely copy a riff from a song, especially one as recently released as Let The Music Play. I'm not disputing that songs can sound like parts of other songs - that's only natural with a limited choice of 12 notes in an octave, but there's a clear difference between coincidence and blatant plaigiarism, and in my eyes this track is the latter.
But hey, whatever - not really massive on Saifam anymore. They seem to have severely lost their mojo in a big way!

Basically this. And now that they've dropped Melody Castellari and are suddenly almost entirely producing non-original songs, things are just going from bad to worse. I liked the two Christmas songs, but I couldn't care less about the remakes and rehashes of other songs.

I don't think I have ever heard that song?
