01. Dave Rodgers feat. Alex De Rosso - BURNING LIKE FIRE (A-Beat C)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-01.asx
- This sounds pretty cool, but doesn't really fit in with the Speedy theme. Some cool power chords and the hook sounds interesting. :)

02. Project 2 - ULTRA MI-HA DELUXE (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-02.asx
- Mari-San's vocals still don't sit well with me, but this track could easily grow on me. It's like a male/female Go 2 from GGM! :)

03. David Dima - KING OF THE WORLD (Dima)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-03.asx
- Love the sound of this track. It has more in common with the older style Vibration releases which is good to hear. I love the chord progression evident in the hook.

04. Derreck Simons - STOP CITY LOVER (GGM?)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-04.asx
- This is definitely one of the better Tomas Marin tracks, but I can't but feel that they are still holding back a little. Rock Me was far better. :)

05. Gold-Rake - HURRICANE MAN (Eurogrooves)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-05.asx
- The deep bass is back. I like the vocal synchopation and overall it sounds fairly decent. Of a similar style to Bad Bad Bad (only not as instantly catchy). :)

06. De Leo - SAVE ANOTHER DAY FOR ME (Time)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-06.asx
- The vocal melody reminds me a little of One Touch, which is a bit odd, but I quite like the flow of this one. :)

07. Mari-San - DON'T BELONG (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-07.asx
- Mari still sounds like she is singing from the back of her throat with a tennis ball in her mouth, but this is a bit more melodically appealing than the awful Secret Destination. Shame the chorus is the worst part fo the song... :|

08. Mad Max - ROCK YOU (Delta)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-08.asx
- I'm hoping that the EQ is a bit more level on this track for the SEB release as that was the main issue on Eurobeat Masters. I still love that line in the chorus "Rock you on & on like a musical potion" :)

09. Fastway - MONSTERS READY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-09.asx
- A decent enough Fastway track - doesn't sound like anything ground-breaking. The theme and title doesn't really fit the melody or track. :)

10. Megan - I WILL SURVIVE (SinclaireStyle)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-10.asx
- This one doesn't do a massive amount for me to be honest. The vocals are just there with no real passion or strong melody. :(

11. Mister Max - SHINE (Asia)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-11.asx
- Engrish FTW!! All together now... "WE'LL BE SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNE!!!!" I actually really this track - a pretty feel-good hands in the air singalong track.

12. Scream Team - KOOKY SPOOKY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-12.asx
- Mega-cute, and a much better fit between the song and theme IMO. I love that hook!

13. Joe Banana - WILD BOY BAD LOVE (Hi-NRG Attack)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-13.asx
- One of the stronger recent Hi-NRG Attack songs. A fairly standard chord progression and melody, but it has the energy and drive needed for this release. :)

I am probably the minority on this one but the samples pretty much tells me that this will be a very average album in the end. In the end, this album isn't so speedy after all.

Sorry to take your post the_ditz.

01. Dave Rodgers feat. Alex De Rosso - BURNING LIKE FIRE (A-Beat C)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-01.asx
- Although Disco Dave's back, although the main melody's pretty good... Dave sounds out of place. It would have been better if there was more sung lyrics at a faster pace. :|

02. Project 2 - ULTRA MI-HA DELUXE (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-02.asx
- It sounds strange at first but it's a very good song :)

03. David Dima - KING OF THE WORLD (Dima)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-03.asx
- Dima has always been some EPIC WIN and he is still some awesome music

04. Derreck Simons - STOP CITY LOVER (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-04.asx
- Very good preview (EDITED) :)

05. Gold-Rake - HURRICANE MAN (Eurogrooves)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-05.asx
- This is a really good track, hands down :)

06. De Leo - SAVE ANOTHER DAY FOR ME (Time)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-06.asx
- I need the full version to have a better idea. I make a bet : this song has a fade-out N/A

07. Mari-San - DON'T BELONG (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-07.asx
- OMG! HOLY SHIT! OMFG! SHE'S BACK! PURE AWESOMENESS :!:

08. Mad Max - ROCK YOU (Delta)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-08.asx
- I really like this song. It's also very short. I would have prefered "SPACE INVADAH" to be on SEB though. It's even faster. The full review with the rest :D

09. Fastway - MONSTERS READY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-09.asx
- He he he. I like this one. MUCH BETTER than the two last one actually. :D

10. Megan - I WILL SURVIVE (SinclaireStyle)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-10.asx
The_ditz wrote:- This one doesn't do a massive amount for me to be honest. The vocals are just there with no real passion or strong melody. :(
This. :(

11. Mister Max - SHINE (Asia)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-11.asx
- The song didn't get me too much. I don't like the melody too much. :(

12. Scream Team - KOOKY SPOOKY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-12.asx
- I need to hear more, otherwise, I'll just make like this song never existed N/A

13. Joe Banana - WILD BOY BAD LOVE (Hi-NRG Attack)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-13.asx
- I really love this song. Love da melody :D

Pretty good album coming

01. Dave Rodgers feat. Alex De Rosso - BURNING LIKE FIRE (A-Beat C)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-01.asx
The production of this track is yet again much stronger and more effective than before. This could hopefully turn out to be a classic A-Beat C faire like Space Boy -Grand Mix-, only without awkward piano overlay. :D

02. Project 2 - ULTRA MI-HA DELUXE (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-02.asx
The chorus melody is starting to sound a little disjointed to me to be quite honest, but the production values still sound very promising and I'm looking forward to the rest of this track. :)

03. David Dima - KING OF THE WORLD (Dima)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-03.asx
Easily another major hit for the Dima crew. The synth sounds promising! :D

04. Derreck Simons - STOP CITY LOVER (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-04.asx
I really like the prominent italo-style melodic progression in this track; sounds like a solid, steady hit for Tomas Marin in the same vain as Your Love Is Like A Medicine. Should be worth the 83-album wait! :D

05. Gold-Rake - HURRICANE MAN (Eurogrooves)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-05.asx
Whoo, this sounds quite intense! Eurogrooves is always at their prime when following this style, so I can't wait to hear the full cut! :D

06. De Leo - SAVE ANOTHER DAY FOR ME (Time)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-06.asx
Not nearly as loud and wild as the Gold-Raike track, but it sounds cool in a different sense. The melodic progression reminds me a bit of the classic Music Fever, and I can already see a lot of excitement in the synth hook. :D

07. Mari-San - DON'T BELONG (GGM)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-07.asx
It's an improvement over Secret Destination to perfection for Mari-San. A very melodically deep production, not too different from Ester's Never Gonna Give Up, which has grown on me quite a lot as of late. :D

08. Mad Max - ROCK YOU (Delta)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-08.asx
The only questionable part in the full version for me would be that the b-melody sounds slightly empty. Otherwise, this song is truly amazing. :D

09. Fastway - MONSTERS READY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-09.asx
Wow, has it been a long time since the last completely new Fastway release. This sounds quite excellent from the sample; not the next Spacelove, but easily one of the better SCP productions as of late. :D

10. Megan - I WILL SURVIVE (SinclaireStyle)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-10.asx
This doesn't sound too bad imo. It sounds weaker than Move On Now Baby, Flame & Fire, and 1, 2, 3, 4, Live On Dance Floor, but the melody sounds nice and I think the verses will add more substance to the whole package. :)

11. Mister Max - SHINE (Asia)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-11.asx
Saifam is definitely starting to pick up the pace again. I agree with the_ditz that this song stands out quite a lot in contrast to other recent releases from the label. It's also nice to finally hear Fabio Serra on SEB again instead of Mauro Farina for once. :D

12. Scream Team - KOOKY SPOOKY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-12.asx
To be honest, I think the lead vocalist for this track sounds a lot more like Irene than Pamsy. The package sounds very Kiki & Fancy imo, but with a goofy Halloween twist that sounds like it could even be used in a Hi-NRG Attack Russian-themed track. :)

13. Joe Banana - WILD BOY BAD LOVE (Hi-NRG Attack)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 195-13.asx
Has classic Hi-NRG Attack written all over it. The melody and production are both very strong, and it sounds like it's just screaming for a para para routine. :D

I had very, very high expectations for this releases, and I'm definitely not disappointed. I liked every single sample I heard, which is quite rare, and I'm sure the album itself will be even better. Overall this compilation sounds like it's easily the best of the 190's decade so far, even compared to the awesome 192.

BURNING LIKE FIRE by Dave Rodgers ft. Alex D. Rosso: EPIC. VERY nicely put-together, and it's a return to the kinds of synths I enjoy! :D

ULTRA MI-HA DELUXE by Project 2: The rock-like vocals mixing with the generic-diva-esque vocals of Mari-san strike me as a little odd, but overall it sounds very solid. :)

KING OF THE WORLD by Dave Dima: Oh yes he is. Typical awesome composition and rock-solid production.

STOP CITY LOVER by Derreck Simons: VERY much a GGM production; lush but somewhat "puffy" production, "strike" synths... a good production, but sounds more specifically like GGM than Derreck. A good Tomas tune but not much else. :)

HURRICANE MAN by Gold Rake: Speedy Hurricane is speedy. Rough, tough, and hot. Soft synths, but with Eurogrooves it's passable (they tend to make the synth riffs appropriate for such a synth). :D

SAVE ANOTHER DAY FOR ME by De Leo: Another classic alias returns! Great tune, I'd say, but... what's with the sudden slew of Time Spa tracks? :???: :)

DON'T BELONG by Mari-San: A double-dose of Mari... her typical diva voice is strong as ever, and a lot "darker" for GGM like most Mari-San tracks have been. Can't make out the riff so I'll leave this one emotionless.

ROCK YOU by Mad Max: Liked this tune when EB Masters 20 had it. What's unusual, though, is that this version sounds a bit lusher, a bit fuller. Still gets full marks from me. :D

MONSTERS READY by Fastway: Why did Avex pick the Halloween tracks for March? Early SCP is evident in this track, which is nice. Riff reflects that too. I see nothing really WRONG with the track... not PERFECT, but certainly an "A" grade. :D

I WILL SURVIVE by Megan: Sinclaire dug out his "Speedy Speed Boy" synths! I like the chord progression, and it rings of that "Classic Sinclaire" vibe— you know, the one before his sounds got raided by fairies. Y'know what, I take that back. His recent entries seem to have shaken those fairies off, hopefully it stays that way. :)

SHINE by Mr Max: Was this album made for this label or what? And they still managed to churn out a song that doesn't quite showcase how well they can do. Just above-par typical Asia/SAIFAM at best. :|

SPOOKY KOOKY by Scream Team: You can tell they had fun with this one, and I wouldn't have it any other way! The synth riff is equally fun, I can imagine legions of listeners wanting to dust off their copies of Luigi's Mansion. :D

WILD BOY BAD LOVE by Joe Banana: HOT HOT HOT! Truly a superior Hi-NRG Attack production! Festari seems a little alone in the vocals, but there's enough power to send you flyin' back! This one's right up there with Burning Like Fire! :D

I may just continue my trend of buying the 1*5 albums "tangibly", this album is HOT! Everyone performed above-par for me, even the ones I didn't expect much from (in this case, GGM, SinclaireStyle and Asia).

It's albums like these that revive my joy for the genre. :3
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

I thought Kooky Spooky was the best imo, with Hurricane Man as a very close second.

Would you believe it... I actually really like most of the previews for this album! Could it be a score for my listening delight for a change?

The only observation I'd like to venture though...

What the heck are Avex thinking calling this album Speedy?!

Seriously, 50% of the songs on this CD aren't remotely what I would consider "fast" Eurobeat, but they are songs I would consider powerful.

Which begs the question, surely Avex could have come up with a better name? Heck, for want of anything better, why not...

01. Dave Rodgers feat. Alex De Rosso - BURNING LIKE FIRE (A-Beat C)
This one is actually sounding great. No Rehashed melodies for Dave and the riff sounds a bit old skool. proves Dvae still has the chords to compete.

02. Project 2 - ULTRA MI-HA DELUXE (GGM)
I would like this alot more if it wasn't for the lame title and Mari- San. I seriously think she should be singing another genre. The riff sounds promising ,but for now the preview is just o.k.
:)

03. David Dima - KING OF THE WORLD (Dima)
Dima is clearly above the normal Eurobeat level. This is the style I go crazy for. Those synths sound pretty wicked. BTW these next for songs sound to be the best of the bunch.
:D

04. Derreck Simons - STOP CITY LOVER (GGM)
I'm not the biggest GOGO's label fan, but when they dish out thier male side I really do enjoy the tracks. That chorus sounds really energetic and that start of the riff gots me hyped for this one.
:D

05. Gold-Rake - HURRICANE MAN (Eurogrooves)
The minute I heard this ,I knew it was gonna be the best track on the cd. It's so damn powerful with a great Iron Man vibe. The shout outs are macho smart and that riff sounds amazing.
:D 8)

06. De Leo - SAVE ANOTHER DAY FOR ME (Time)
Wow another DeLeo hit. Christan is on a roll . I hear a familiar meoldy in the chorus, but I can't recall from what song. That riff sounds totally new in ideas.
:D

07. Mari-San - DON'T BELONG (GGM)
This is not good at all. Am I the only one who thinks Mari-San sounds so unEurobeat in her singing? The vibe of the song barely has a Eurobeat feel and the soundworlds make me cringe.

08. Mad Max - ROCK YOU (Delta)
Had this for a while. Still a strong entry, but I like Claudio too sound more aggressive when he sings.
:D

09. Fastway - MONSTERS READY (SCP)
I agree with ditz that the title has nothing to do with nothing. In fact Monsters Ready is just used as a shout out. That said the rerst of the track sounds tasty for Fastway style and I'm liking the initial vibe I'm getting.
:D

10. Megan - I WILL SURVIVE (SinclaireStyle)
His songs are starting to sound more like his older DELTA style, which is a step in the right direction. Interested to hear the verses and melody to this one.
:)

11. Mister Max - SHINE (Asia)
I don't really concider this to be one of Saifam's stronger entries. The Kiss- I was Made For Loving You melody in the riff sounds odd to me. A better entry for me would have been Hey Mama Hey.
:)

12. Scream Team - KOOKY SPOOKY (SCP)
No where near the awsesomness of Horror Fantasy and it does have a disteant Kiki & Fancy feel to it, but the Russian like riff and overall feel of the melody make it sound more Scream Team than Kika & Fancy and that's a good thing. let's see how the rest of this turns out.
:)

13. Joe Banana - WILD BOY BAD LOVE (Hi-NRG Attack)
Been A while since Joe joined the party. Easily one of my favourites of the cd. The riff sounds 10000x rehashed , but when it's HRG Attack, it's all good. The title sounds macho agressive and it's perfect sing a long song.
:D

I pretty much enjoyed all the previews, except for Mari-San. I just don't like her style of singing.

zoupzuop2
what's with the sudden slew of Time Spa tracks?
I wonder if Giacomo Maiolini is dealing directly with AVEX? Anyway, it shows that AVEX has pretty strong grip on TIME.[/b]

I got bored so I decided to tap out the rough BPMs of each track to see just how "speedy" this album is:

Burning Like Fire - 150
Ultra Mi-Ha Deluxe - 149
King Of The World - 152
Stop City Lover - 152
Hurricane Man - 160
Save Another Day For Me - 160
Don't Belong - 150
Rock You - 160
Monsters Ready - 157
I Will Survive - 155
Shine - 158
Kooky Spooky - 160
Wild Bad Boy Love - 160

Mean: 155.6, Median: 157, Mode: 160, Min: 149, Max: 160

For fun I did some other albums which popped into my mind as being pretty "fast":

SEB 88 - Mean: 155.3, Median: 156, Mode: 156, Min: 150, Max: 160
SEB 166 - Mean: 155, Median: 156, Modes: 150, 156, Min: 146, Max: 162
SEB 182 - Mean: 156.4, Median: 156, Mode: 156, Min: 147, Max: 170

Extra fun: 38% of 195's songs are 155- bpm compared to 22% of 182's songs. 38% of 195's songs are 160+, compared to 28% of 182's songs.

Is this album speedy? About as much as 191 was drive-defining and 192 was party-defining.

I still stand by my assertion that this album would have been better off being named something down the lines of "power" rather than "speed" - or possibly just both - it seems to be a half way split between slow, powerful songs (tracks 1-4, 7) and the fast stuff.
