Deal with it.
If you can't stand the fact that a forum has suddenly gained a strong, and very visceral debate on a subject, then what are you doing in a public forum in the first place?
Incidentally...
If that were even half of what this debate was about, then there would be no point, but this megamix situation just tipped the boat.Nine wrote:If you don't want to buy SEB197 because it's nonstop, then don't and move on.

Haven't the anti-Avex side been through this an unprecedented amount of times already? There's no evidence to suggest Avex's recent actions lessens piracy; if anything, their actions may very well promote piracy. There's nothing to 'believe' until you give us something to support your claim.Will154 wrote:I take it as if AVEX is protecting some labels music so that it doesn't get selled worldwide on iTunes and , it gives less piracy (believe it or not).
But here's a fun exercise: go to IDW or ohcool and try to find a download link to a Eurobeat Masters album or a recent Hi-NRG Attack digital release from iTunes/Juno. I just tried and failed at this feat. So, if anything, isn't iTunes piracy a non-issue? And even if there are download links to these albums somewhere at IDW or ohcool that I've skimmed past, they aren't readily available to download unlike the main SEB series. I'm thus finding it hard to believe that Avex psyching out and forcing Delta to remove their digital albums is to try and prevent piracy; there's probably another reason.
DJ Mike TJG: I just have to say this debate has certainly been an interesting one. Those on the pro-Avex side are having a blast cherry-picking what to refute, and, funnily enough, they always ignore our strongest points. I've stated thrice that I don't care if the format is a non-stop, and yet somehow, miraculously, they've managed to shape their entire argument around that very fact whilst ignoring every other point we've made! Kudos to Will154 for giving me something else to address at least, even if it was a tad indirect.

Beleive it or not, I think these and other download link sites might just respect Juno and itunes a lot more than AVEX, because they havn't made such a dire fuzz about the whole piracy thing. Maybe if AVEX would lay off the whole piracy issue, those same pirates wouild just sail away, but I agree, the harder you make something, the more people want to do itBut here's a fun exercise: go to IDW or ohcool and try to find a download link to a Eurobeat Masters album or a recent Hi-NRG Attack digital release from iTunes/Juno. You better have to know IDW better before writing anything about it... (off course, what you said here is false)pokecapn wrote:The thing about the idw forums is that they usually get their SEB rips from people in Asia who can either rent the CD for super cheap or grab an actual pirate CD. That doesn't exactly work with US or digital-only releases.

Wow, first one in with the samples again - I'm honoured!
As I thought, more or less all of the new tracks sound awesome on this release, so I'll definitely be picking up a copy in Tokyo in a couple of weeks
Samples to the "new" tracks (as in new to the Super Eurobeat series) are listed below, but I would imagine you could use the same link format to listen to the other tracks samples if you want.
Another cool thing to note is that all of the samples' tags mention extended versions, so we will definitely be able to get them from iTunes Japan if nowhere else.
01 SUPER EUROBEAT / NIKO (SinclaireStyle)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-01.asx
- a very unique vocal melody - not sure on the progression, it sounds a bit dischordant and incohesive, but I have a feeling this will grow on me very quickly! I think this will please the people that have been calling for a slightly more "meaty" male-led track from Sinclaire.
02 DON'T TURN IT OFF (ENERGIZE EXTENDED MIX) / GO 2 (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-02.asx
- I think most of you saw that video from ages ago with the guys performing this track, so it's nice to finally see a release. Your typical Go 2 power with polished SCP production.
03 THE CHAMPION / LUKE (Delta)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-03.asx
- The vocalist/alias from Turbo Disco and Dangerous Speed Cars finally gets his SEB debut, and it sounds quite an assured yet familiar performance. Typical "jaunty" Delta synths combine with dramatic whoosh effects - in fact, the production sounds quite like DTZ Project!! lol
04 LOVE COUNTDOWN / FASTWAY (SCP)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-04.asx
- Finally Fastway gives us another mega-hit - this track is easily one of the strongest new tracks judging from these samples. He sounds like he really enjoys this track, and it has a classic Eurobeat melody.
05 FIRE DRAGON / DAVE RODGERS feat. PATRICK RONDAT (A-Beat C)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-05.asx
- Your typical slightly-slower angsty and broody performance from Grandpa Dave - doesn't seem to have the instant replay appeal of Burning Like Fire for example, but it seems like a decent enough track from this sample.
24 KING OF THE RACE / POWERFUL T. feat. ALEX DE ROSSO (A-Beat C)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-24.asx
- I love the vocal melody in this track. Another slower track from A-Beat C but with Alex on guitar and with synths as awesome as this hook has, I'm sure it will be a very enjoyable track.
25 A FLASH IN THE NIGHT / DAVID DIMA (Dima)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-25.asx
- This seems like a very safe track from Dima. There is no drama or notable action to speak of - it's very much business as usual to be honest. Still it's great to have him here - I wouldn't want to lose his presence from SEB any time soon.
26 DON'T LET ME GO / LEO RIVER (Go-Go's Music)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-26.asx
- Oh, HELL YEAHHH!!! I absolutely love the sound of this track. It seems that Leo has taken over from Manuel, as the style of writing in the tracks he is given are very similar to tracks Manuel used to sing. The melodic progression is heaven, and I almost wet myself when I heard a key change into the hook (sadly we don't actually get to hear the hook itself, but I'm hoping it's as awesome as the rest of this sample). Hands down, my most anticipated track now!!!
27 LOVED IN TOKYO / MAX ZERO (Dima)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-27.asx
- Forgive if this has already been revealed, but I think this track has a Dima feel to it. The melody progression and synths/beats have his trademark sound and vocals also sound very Dima-esque. This sounds a bit better than A Flash In The Night in any case.
28 IVANHOE (THE FACTORY TEAM EUROBEAT MIX) / ALPHATOWN (Asia)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-28.asx
- One of those anthemic, marching style Eurobeat tracks from Saifam. I never take to them that much if I'm honest as they end up sounding very gimmicky after a while, and the fact that we've all heard this one already doesn't help. I would much rather have had Superphenomena or Technological World on this release.
29 I FEEL LIKE A MOLOTOV / MAD COW (Hi-NRG Attack)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-29.asx
- At least we get one of the better tracks from the batch of "Juno releases" - we could easily have been stuck with one of those awful pitched down weird tracks from the Nick Turbo album. Anyway, I still enjoy this track and it's the more agressive Hi-NRG Attack that we were used to aroudn the 140-150's.
30 KING OF EUROBEAT / JORDAN (Eurogrooves)
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 197-30.asx
- Eurogrooves round of the album with a cute touch - a track that is actually the sub-title of the album! Haha, I see what you did thar!! Anyway, it's a decent track - nothing earth-shattering from the label, but they continue their stronger form post-Time. Unless of course this is Time (is anyone else confused by that?? lol)
All in all, this sounds like a great bunch of songs, especially the amazing Don't Let Me Go and Love Countdown which will definitely be on my iPod as soon as they are released on iTunes Japan (I'm going to buy my gift card now actually!
). Combined with the older favourite of mine like I Was Born For Burning (I want more Neo!!), I'm really looking to grabbing a copy of this.

Yay, Tomas Marin now sings for Dima too!
Well, either that, or Go Go's invented yet another alias for him... xP
Also, I should have expected Jordan to be Giordano Gambogi... I wonder why this never crossed my mind.
Oh, and one more thing. Don't Turn It Off = EPIC WIN. I've been waiting for this track since I heard it in the video of Go2's performance in Pisa.

This bunch of samples quite impressed me. I'm most looking forward to King Of Eurobeat, but the other labels also pleasantly surprised me overall.
I disagree with the_ditz and am gonna say that A Flash In The Night actually sounds like one of Dima's better SEB efforts so far. It may not be loud and full-on like 1 Week or King Of The World, but I think it has more melodic depth and meaning, and therefore sounds a lot more memorable and less generic. It's actually the same reason why I still really enjoy Stormbringer / Dream Fighter (NOT Dream Fighter by Stormbringer, lol!), which although isn't quite as fast and aggressive as other Dima productions, has a darker general feel to it and holds my attention with more novelty than just your everyday performance from the label.
