so did anyone else get the CD?
As always, impressed with the Akyr tracks.
Is Jimmy Ray's vocals the same as the first track? They sound much more dramatic on Rock 'n Roll in Tokyo (plus I like this song a lot more than Down in Tokyo).

Hmmm...they remind me of the vocals in DJ is Playing my Song

Mine's stuck in a group Amazon.jp order (which by the time the other items may come), I'll probably get it mid September - early October :(

a review? :T

I DON'T WANNA LOSE YOU/CARRIE
★★★☆☆(3/5)

Honestly, I find this song very boring. The only reason I gave any stars at all is because I'm such a fan of this vocalists past songs on Delta (WONDERLAND, ALL I NEED IS LOVE, FUNNY BOY, MISING YOU, YOU CAN LIGHT MY FIRE etc) But in some songs, I feel that her vocals are too..."sheep-like"? For example I WILL FLY/CAT and MY SUPERMAN/PIZZA GIRL, and her songs as Keki/Baby Energy on Panic.

ROCKIN' LOVE/MAXIMUM POWER
★★★★★(5/5)

A verryyyy crazy song. Intro kinda reminds me of GET THE DARK SIDE INTO MY BRAIN/CY-RO. I'm a big fan of Magnani, especially as of lately. But seriously, enough of him saying MAXIMUM POWER! in his songs.

HERO OF THE NIGHT/DAVID KANE
★★★★☆(4/5)

Not much to say about this song. It's good, maybe a little better than typical Dima. Much more mellow than Stargate to Heaven, althought I liked that one more.

PRINCESS OF CHINATOWN/ERYKO
★★★★★(5/5)

I know this is an old song but I *reaaaallly* love it haha

OBSESSION/SUSHI QUEEN
★★★★★★★★★★(10/5)

Freaking fantastic song. I cannot express how much I anticipated this, and how it surpassed my expectations. This song really has a Gipsy & Queen kind of feeling to it.

ROCK AND ROLL IN TOKYO/JIMMY RAY
★★★★★(5/5)

Much better than DOWN IN TOKYO from VIP BEST. I think theres a lot more emotion in the vocals. Kinda reminds me of a Jean Love song, and DJ IS PLAYING MY SONG/EUROFUNK

Ah, I see where you're coming from. We call it crepe vibrato cuz that of her vocals is delicate and fine like crepe.

Awesome to hear you're working again with Delta! Hope to hear plenty of high quality songs in the future as well. And also all the Akyr releases sound really tempting, hopefully the Universal albums will be as high quality as this :)
And the extendeds from PPHB will be very much anticipated!
