BEST Eurobeat song OF ALL TIME?
Re: BEST Eurobeat song OF ALL TIME?
It's a tough question because I have so many which are fighting for the number one.
If I leave the Toho Eurobeat Series aside I'd say that Dancing on the Street / David Dima is REALLY killing it.
But then again, there a songs which take over the pole position on a few days.
~ Welcome to the night! Dancing on the Street *whip sound* Come on baby, light my fire!

Definetely from 越田Rute隆人 (Koshida Rute Takahito). Either センヲコエテ (Sen Wo Koete) or No Routine.
But then again, on some days it may change to あき (Aki) or AXEL.K because their songs are energetic aswell.

For me it's got to be something by Elena Gobbi Frattini. Her voice is incredible and she worked with a lot of talented people. Maybe Lolita "Think of You."

I know exactly what you mean. His engrish just sounds crazyxiao wrote: 01 Apr 2017, 17:51maaan ... Axel K. is great! ~ shame he's moved on to other projects. But who knows maybe one day he'll return ... his Engrish was just legend & his songs were pretty all-out rocking good fun!![]()

Despite the fact that he's bending the words sometimes really hard (like other japanese singers) he has a very powerful voice along with Rute.
But the bending doesn't bother me at all because it adds a unique style to his work and helps the flow of the song.
On what other series did Rute work and appear in? I didn't find Throw off disguise on: Euro Baka Ichidai, Super Euro Smash, TEB, or TEF!

"Blood on Fire" by Go 2 & Christine is still one of my all-time favorites, I think I left it out originally because it's a J-Pop cover, albeit a significant improvement over the 2005 AAA version. I don't think any other track off Super Eurobeat has ever left a greater impact on me. It was an absolute classic back in 2007, and it's still untouchable nearly a full decade later. Any mention of 2007 instantly conjures up this song into my subconsciousness.

Happens to me somtimes too. You start talking and then fade away in your thoughts

Well, one compilation more I have to listen through! (like I would complainxiao wrote: 01 Apr 2017, 22:54But back to Throw off disguise... tho.You can find it under Vol.1 of katsu's Raver's Nest comps. So far he's on the 7th album

Apart the fact that Sen Wo Koete got also released in the Lead-Single Album I've got my version from TEB Vol. 11 because the melody features a bit more elements to make it sound more powerful.xiao wrote: 01 Apr 2017, 22:54Everybody thinks the model on the cover of センヲコエテ is Youmu or Seiga ...
But the shot's too close & none of the four A-One'ers have said anything afaik.
You're welcome. Actually you woke my interest on a new compilation (as I already mentioned) and how could I be mad about good music

It looks like you have quite some knowledge about Japanese Eurobeat so you might be able to answer me this question:
There are a few songs where I seem to recognize the vocal flow from somewhere.
In Paranoia / FN2 feat. Hanatan there's a verse which sounds (melodically) identical to Read An Emotion / Aki feat. Axel.K
If you listen to this: https://youtu.be/61-RF-q7RmI?t=3m50s
you will recognize it yourself if you listen to this too: https://youtu.be/UAkaCF1zJy0?t=3m54s
Is it just coincidence or am I missing something?

I would've been happy with a single line explaining how it works but you steamroll someone with so much extra information. Thank you!xiao wrote: 02 Apr 2017, 11:56Once again more useless trivia haha ~ but I like getting into the how & why of things, especially if it's something I'm in love with like music lol.

The song I pick as my all time favorite is a one off track. Give Me Your Love by Giada. There has been something so endearing about this song since I heard it about 12 years ago. Her voice, the melody, and overall atmosphere is just wow to me. I will never skip this song when it comes on rotation.
