Arlenghi is Niko's model. Maurizio is Niko's voice. However, Arlenghi has also sang... for Oda, I think. Probably other productions, too.

8) One Eurobeat artists that did put his pic on his own records was Gino Caria.Ex: "Hold The Line", "Nobody Knows""I Wanna Be Your Superman"...and as far as I know he was not a Rocker?
Now imagine Gino putting his pic on every Dr. Money, Chester, Toby Ash. Mike Skanner, Thomas T. Joe Foster,Robert Patton (early 90's) 12' inch single. I for once would say WTF? :.and I don't think Eurobeat would sell as well if the fans knew they were all the same singer. wich also explains why TIME never through a mega concert back in 90's. You would only have seen Clara,Gino, Fernando, Claudio, Gianni, Elena, and maybe a few others represent about 20 artists. YOU DO THE MATH :? So yeah models, lip-syncers, what ever you wanna call them are very essential to Eurobeat(Those are my thoughts anyway)

Yeah, but we're not talking about multiple aliases... he can still be Gino Caria and all the other names he's got, but does he have a physical model that represents him, goes to Japan, shakes peoples' hands and all that?

Multiple aliases are neat. They allow artists to pick up multiple personalities in their work (Ennio Zanini claims that Fastway/Dusty are two different personas, for example).

It's sad to say, but I think that if an artist has pride in his/her work, they'd be upset at being told or coming to the conclusion that they need a better image for their music in order for it to sell.

I might have said this before, but I agree with you about the whole image thing. However, maybe the artist wants a model....? We don't really know.

I don't think saying if they want (or) use a model means they have no pride in their work; that's an unfair judgement. Maybe they think it will promote their music better? Maybe it will make them more money? Maybe it will boost their popularity? It's endless. Then again, Newfield answered it already. Eurobeat is a business after all. Also, if Eurobeat rockers don't want to spread it, who says they need to? It's the studio's music after all.
We also can not forget how visual people are; if they see a picture of a vocalist that isn't attractive or fascinating, they probably won't buy it. This isn't true for all people, but for the majority it is. Actually, it's a bit sad.
I'm not someone who judges talent like that though, expecially when it comes to music.

Jion, I'll remind you that you asked Mr. Gelmetti a question about the vocals on Edo Boys.

Edo Arlenghi sang as Carlie Tango and Edo Boys.

I think his raw voice is similar to Maurizio's, so when he actually sang "Night of Fire", "Speedway" etc. by himself (not lip-sync) on his Japan tour, few people seem to perceive the difference of the vocals. lol

Back in Early 90's Time tried the model effect on thier 12's cover art . Especially for Gino Caria aliases. I don't know if they ever appeared in Japan and shook hands with the fans, but if you have those 12's then you will see that Robert Patton- Give Me A Little Chance, Dave hammond-Lover Boy, Atrium- Going Crazy and Frank Torpedo- Love For Money all had male model repres enting them. I guess it didn't work ,because soon after the 12's cover just consisted of swerly catching colors and Kaliadiscopes and of female models for thier macho records.
ex: Dave hammond- All My World, Atrium- Ain't Nobody and Robert Patton -Sweet Lover(All Sung by Gino Caria)
For HRG AQttack, I just know of Bazooka Girl(Chris) and Federico Rimonti(Franz Tornado) appearing in concerts in Japan :D
