I do understand where Megan is coming from - basically, although some of the same production techniques and sounds can be heard in these new Asia releases, the songs at the core are not classic Eurobeat structures, and hence they just sound like "bonus remixes" than pure stand-alone songs.

Case in point...

NEW RELEASE ON JUNO
Jenny Rom - I Only Wanna Be With You (originally performed by Dusty Springfield)

http://www.junodownload.com/products/i- ... 910199-02/

Pleasant, yes, but it just doesn't sound right as a Eurobeat song - the structure is all wrong, and while I'm not saying that all Eurobeat tracks need to have a set structure, it's clear that all of these songs were written to the norms of other genres, so I can never properly accept them as Eurobeat.

Having said that, these past two releases are a step in the right direction from the utter awful Pretty Girl Rock, which was one of the worst Asia tracks I've ever heard!!

This is indeed quite a surprising turn of events. The track sounds awesome and it has been ages since a song instantly sounded as genuine and catchy from Saifam.

Very interesting song. I hope the title isn't correct. The song reminds me of a mix of Sweet Heaven by Marmalade and a Ken Martin/Bombers song.

Oh my god!! *faints* This is awesome!!

Although it's laced with a bit of worry - why is it called Last Of Eurobeat? Better not be a literal description of what Saifam are planning to do :(

Amazing job from Saifam team. Once again , you can listen to the entire song on the Juno player.

Awesome intro. those pianos remind me a bit of those kinda haunting tubilar bells melodies of yesteryear. Mauro uses alot of the effects he used in Boom Boom DOllars remake.

Not to worry guys. If you listen to the lyrics, he is saying that he is indeed the last of the Eurobeat greats. Probobly meaning, while many have retired, he is still full of FIRE.

Here's to hoping the song actually has some truth to it and Mauro does indeed return to the Eurobeat frontline with many songs like this.

What do ya think, does AVEX have enough class to include it on SEB 222?

He says "i have to go" in the amelo... It seems more like he's leaving.

In my opinion, the chorus isn't very catchy. I'm not impressed with the lyrics too much either.

Just spoke with Fabio Serra about the lyrics of Last of Eurobeat and how everyone's concerned about maybe Mauro leaving Eurobeat:

"Hi Jorge,
Nothing to be concerned 😊
...Stay tuned 😉"

Yeah, the message in that song is a little cryptic since he also states he's come to be somebody's "lover." It almost sounds like he's leaving that person because of his dedication to eurobeat.

Whatever the case is, I sure hope we hear more from Mauro in the near future because Last of Eurobeat is pretty good.

About "The Last Of Eurobeat", here's how I understand it.

When he sings about coming back home, he doesn't mean to go back to his for retirement, he means going back to the studio where he belongs.

Also, I hear "You haven't seen the last of eurobeat" just before the riff. Which means, that we haven't seen nothing yet!

The song is not about leaving, it's about coming back!

Let's hope so. The label hasn't been the same without him behind the mic.
