They're still using DRM-encrypted 128kbps nonsense, though. Doesn't bode well for a Western release right now! I guess we'll find out in the next few hours as midnight strikes across Europe.

Western Canada/USA has about 12 hours left till we find out. ;D
Regardless, I have an iTunes gift card for the Japanese store so I'm just going to buy what I wanted to purchase from the Japanese store. I think I'm gonna get the whole Go Go Girls album and a few songs from the Groove Twins and Virginelle collections.

They better bring out DRM-free versions, or there will be hell to pay.

No sign of them and it's after midnight here (usually iTunes is right on cue). Not like I've any desperate need to fork money over to Avex, so I'll wait.

It's not just the SEB Special Collections that are pending to be released; in fact, everything Avex-related is currently only availible in Japan. I'm not really surprised that nothing's been released overseas yet, but I think Avex will eventually put back up their music in iTunes-plus format once they're truly ready, it'll probably just take a bit of time and patience.
Either way though, buying from the Japanese iTunes isn't really any harder than buying from mu-mo.net, and it's at least possible for overseas customers to use it, unlike morawin. Aside from the Special Collections and newer SEB albums, I'm also keen on buying SEB's 145 and 148, both of which are on the Japanese iTunes and also my 2 favorite albums of the 140's decade and definitely worth purchasing imo; personally, I'm really hoping that Avex will eventually put up the rest of the previous SEB compilations on iTunes in extended format as an alternate purchasing method (from the Japanese perspective) to morawin. It would really bring back everything that I lost after the departure from mu-mo.net.

Most likely.
SEB 197 Extended was just put up onto iTunes Japan (or, at least, it wasn't put on the same week that the CD was released), so I'm almost wondering if Avex might be currently debating what to put up in iTunes Plus and what not to put up in iTunes Plus?
I don't think most of their stuff is, but I have seen an Avex release on iTunes in iTunes Plus.

The Groove Twins cvover is the old sleeve for Robert Stone's - Burning Heart vinyl. Sung by Dave Rodgers. It's an amazing song for those who have never heard it before.
Virgenelle's cover is the same one for Fantasy
Those peeps at AVEX are lazy as F**K

Avex didn't make the covers at all. The wonderful Phil/Nine did.

Yeah, way to go for accidentally insulting Phil's own work!
Personally, I think the cover arts look really good in general. They're nice and clean, yet colorful and attractive at the same time.
