Is it just me, or does "David Kane - Hero of the Night" sound exactly like Manuel?
Especially when compared to "Please Don't Go - Manuel".
Particularily in the "take my power so high"(0:18) sounds very much like "get my power tonight"(0:36) from "Please Don't Go."
I sure hope this resemblance of the two hasn't already been pointed out, making me drone on like an idiot. :P
I'm almost certain this is going to be one of those 'OMG, you didn't know?' scenarios... but I did a search and didn't turn up any word of it...

I agree these samples are pretty vegetarian. I wish AKYR would come up with a compilation of just Eurobeat songs, not that download site, but a nice cd presention. you know like HRG does with Para Para Moo and Cool. the whole song and not mixed with other genres.
I know I would buy and so would many of you, just as long as they add in "Rainbow" -ODA or Dr. Gee. Don't care as long as I can have the song.
That is my suggestion

It does sound like David Kane is being modeled a bit on Manuel - the first 16 measures or so of the intro reminded me of a slightly less full-on version of No Control's intro, and the similarity with that one line you pointed out Cosmic Bard is clear for all to see
The DDR Max announcer strand in Rockin Love is quite intriguing...don't think it signals a deal between Konami and Akyr to use songs in DDR, as SuperNOVA has just been released - unless it's for a new Japanese console version...that's probably the most likely outcome if anything at all...
