Hm another Ace, Pamsy, and Christine album. This should please many fans. Personally I am most thrilled for the Cy-ro and Mark Rise tracks. Btw any guess on where Kimmy and Chris Stanton is from?

HMV Japan lists the final 3 tracks as: I Feel The Rhythm Tonight, Like A Video & Perfect Time 2007

Perfect Time is a Rose song, so I guess that holds true for this occasion.

Like A Video, according to Para Rigby's rumoured songs thread, is Dave & Nuage.

I Feel The Rhythm Tonight is anybody's guess Perhaps that's the Mega NRG Man track?

The same guy who did the vocals in Play With The Numbers. I don't know his name, but he is a friend of Domino's who owns a Japanese restaurant in Italy. haha

Maybe it's just my weird tastes, but I almost wanna hear him do a solo song. His bit in The Game of My Name was pretty catchy.

I've heard Giancarlo Pasquini did some heavy editing on his vocals, or he had to ask the restaurant guy to redo the vocals in The Game of My Name more than a thousand times...

At least that's what Clara Moroni said in a radio interview on Fresh FM if I remember it well... I could be wrong though.

I don't recall hearing that, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true - a lot of editing is done to vocals to make them sound "prefect." Hell, i wouldnt be surprised if a label like ABeatC could make me sound perfect if I ever sang a song (i have NO signing talent whatsoever... haha)

It's on the producing side... AVEX has no part of production as far as I know, they just get sent the material and say "yes" or "no" to the music. Like, for example, Cooking Boy - Domino sang the song originally in Japanese and sent it to AVEX last year, they said that they liked the song but wanted it in Japaese and English - like Hey Mr. Dee Jay. So, Domino resung the vocals for the song and sent it to them, then they told her that they liked the English parts of the song and would prefer it to be 100% in English... so she had to resing the parts that were left as Japanese... haha

With the high production quality of ALL the songs from EVERY label... I wouldn't be surprised if every artist's vocals are "tweeked" to make sound better... it's pretty much electroic music, the BPM of the songs are fast - I would expect some artists' voices to be altered, pitched, or changd in some form or another. Just listen to one of Domino's older songs like Behind You or Forever Young (natural singing voice) - then listen to Go Go Where You Wanna Go Go or anything after Tora Tora Tora and try to tell me there is no altercation in there.

Regardless, as long as the songs are good to my ears - if the labels take the extra time to make the vocals "perfect" by computer - it's more than welcome. I'd rather have a great song with perfect vocals rather than a good song with bad vocals.

I've heard from various sources that AVEX does edit the tracks. I know 99% sure that they increased the BPM of almost every song they got sent in a few years ago.

Of course AVEX alters the music in a minor way. They cut extended mixes to fit within the "radio edit" timeline - they speed up the music for the nonstops...

Increasing the speed of a track is one thing - I can speed up music that I find that's too slow without compromising the quality of the song, without making the pitch too high, etc.. But, actually altering the specific vocals or music which takes place within the production of a track is another.

Like, lets say a vocal recording of Annerley Gordon's new song Loverboy - she missed a few notes in the chorus but the rest was perfect. A few clicks of the mouse would fix that no problem - this which would be assumed to happen in the ABeatC studios in Italy during production, not in the AVEX studios in Japan during publishing.

The production team is in charge of all the find tuning (Sandro & domino for GOGOSMUSIC for example...) If AVEX did the altering on that level, why have small labels scattered throughout Italy creating music for Japan - to send with fingers crossed hoping they like it enough to release - when a Japanese team of producers and singers can make tracks that fit the hidden "standard" that avex sets for this music without going throughout all the trouble?

Of course, this is all assumed knowledge - for all I know the labels could just send AVEX the insturmental versions of the songs and a few vocal recordings and avex could sit there and put them together to see what fits best. But, from the best of my knowledge this such isn't the case.

Well that's only logical, AVEX has no way of doing that seeing that they get finished products and not seperate parts...

Actually, that isn't true - clearly multi-track masters are available to Avex, since their remix artists are able to play with the tracks in great detail, both for full-length remixes, and especially the non-stop megamixes. Certainly far more material is available to AVEX than is released publicly.

If AVEX gets multi-track masters of the music, you would think they would do a better job at editing the extended mixes into radio edits. haha... Some of them recently haven't been that great.
