Why let discussions end when I can point out that there are high-profile artists like Trent Reznor, who put their entire albums up as free downloads in a variety of formats, including lossless and super-cd quality? He can't be the only audiophile artist out there, and I think a lot of it boils down to how much the eurobeat labels rely on the major labels like Avex to stay alive. When you've got a big and slow company like Avex calling nearly all of your shots (and when you as an artist aren't already rolling in dough like Reznor is), it's hard to truly cater to your audience.

The only thing there that catches my eye is Trent Reznor. I like Nine Inch Nails
