Liking these tracks so far after listening to the samples:

I Dream of You
Set Me Free (already bought this song from iTunes and simply love it)
Baby Come Back
You & I
Movin' & Lovin'
Sex Killer
Ya Ya Ya <Slow> (there is something a bit magical about this being remixed)

Now the top hits..

Megan delivers the right melodic power...Bratt was so right to start a countdown to this cool tune..and this baby iz ticking...

Virginelle kicks lotza lotza ass ..!!..

I am gettin' me fork and knife ready, 'cause these 2 tunies look so yammy yammy...

p.s. Macho side winner here is Mr. Toaster..!!...I love the bohlen sound feel in the melody..

The one's that really hit me from samples

I Dream Of You
Set Me Free (The song is sexy; have it from iTunes)
Love Toy
Baby Come Back
A New Day (Have the song from musico.jp)

I can see a lot of Time Records fans enjoying this album. The Dima songs have an old school Time (SEB 100-140) feel to them. The Claire M. song sounds like Mad Man part 2.
Stop City Lover Can't You Break My Style?

From the samples, I like

I Dream Of You / Yo Shine (I could swear I hear the F-word)
Set Me Free / Ace
Love Toy / Annalise
Cowboy / Mr Moog
Baby Come Back / Virginelle (Sounds like another decent GGM production, which is rare these days)
Jump On The Sound / Cy-Ro (Hah, thank goodness for another fast Hi-NRG song)
M.U.S.I.C / Claire M

This album actually sounds 50 times better than 211. Unfortunately, I don't like that fast cy-ro song... Crazy Diamond is very slow but somehow... I feel it could be good. Ya Ya Ya (Slow Mix) is horrible. Oh and btw, the Yo Shine song sounds amazing.

Annalise here is a great tune, and I've missed Gordon's vocals - that's for sure...I basically am getting lotz of girl power outta this SEB - and I like-eeet-a-looo-t..

I'm probably gonna be the only one on the forum again who doesn't like the Yo Shine song. What ever happened to those grand SCP songs that pulled at your heartstrings like 'So Fragile'? That's what I used to love about the label but these days none of SCP's songs have that same kind of emotional depth anymore - it's all about speed, speed, speed now. Hate it.

My favourites are 'Set Me Free', 'Danger Zone' and 'A New Day' (I already have them all in full though haha). There are a couple of other promising ones but I'll reserve judgment for now.

Some quick thoughts. This cd should be called girls night out. I'm more for the male side of Eurobeat, but there are a few catchy samples in here.

1. I Dream Of You- Yo Shine (SCP)
this clip sounds way better than her first song. I could end up linking it.
:)

2. Set Me Free- Ace (Ace)
I've had this for a few weeks and it just isn't growing on me. It's ok for SCP, I guess.
:|

3. Love Toy- Annalise (GGMs, Sun Fire?)
liking the chorus, but will the rest measure up?
:) :|

4. Bang Bang Cowboy- Mr- Moog (Dima Music)
This allready sounds like it could be my favourite track on the cd. I get a cool TIME/ HRG Attack feel from this clip.
8) :D

5. Baby Come Back- Virgenelle (GGMs)
The chorus melody sounds nice, but those soundsworlds don't excite me too much.
:|

6. Danger Zone- DJ Space' C (Saifam)
ooh, not too keen on this song. Not then and not now
:(

7. You & I- David & Toy (Dima Music)
I'm loving this clip just as I thought I might. Has good feel to it.
:D

8. Crazy Diamond- Joe D. Toaster (HRG Attack)
Italo slam of the month. This one will get some playback abuse on my player.
8) :D

9. Movin' & Lovin'- Mellisa White (SCP)
the clip sounds kinda uninspireing. Guess I'm gonna go back and give Promised Discoland a few more spins
:|

10. TIME To Say Bye Bye- Megan (Sinclaire Style)
Nothing from Megans discography has done anything for me yet and it sounds like this won't either.
:(

11. Jump On The Sound- Cy-Ro (HRG Attack)
I like the clip, but I feel something sounds odd with Festari doing his Slow style vocals for a fast style song. He should have used his aggressive style like he does in Cataclysm Night or Samurai Samaurai.
8) :)

12. Sex Killer- Go Go Girls (GGMs)
This clip sounds weird to me. The melodies make me cring.
:(

13. M.U.S.I.C.- Claire M. (Dima Music)
Dima seems to shine on this cd. Another good feeling clip.
 :)

14. A New Day- Digital Planet (AbeatC)?
I'm actually liking this clip. Which is a good thing, cuz I'm not completely blown away by the majoraty of these clips.
:)

15. Ya Ya Ya (Slow Mix)- King & Queen
This is what King & Queen got reduced too? I actually didn't care for this song it's firt TIME out either.
:(

Quite a bit of sad smilys from these clips . I get the feel this cd is playing it real safe. The only two clips that are putting me in my perfect Eurobeat zone are Crazy Diamond and Bang Bang Cowboy. This isn't necesarly a bad thing, since I'm hoping a few other tracks will surprise me once I hear them in thier entirety. 8)

WNight, I was referring to SCP specifically in that part of my post you graciously highlighted, not other labels. The majority of SCP's songs lately are all about speed with only several exceptions. 'Samurai Blue', 'Eyes of Sky', 'One Heart One Soul', 'Flash & Love', 'Power Of My Love', 'Bigga Boom', 'Invisible Touch', 'Freedom Ride', 'Rock Beatin' Wild', 'I Dream Of You'... Need I go on?

Perhaps you can look to the more significant part of my post now: the fact that SCP's latest songs no longer have the emotional depth that they used to possess decades and decades ago. Slower songs like 'My Valentine', 'So Fragile' and 'Beautiful' have lasted well through the years for me because of the kinds of emotions they draw out of me, and I know I'm not the only one still listening to these songs for the same reason. But then you look at a typical recent SCP song like 'I Dream Of You', and while this song is obviously going to cause an impact upon first listen, it's almost guaranteed that nobody is going to listen to it in a few months' time. Why? Because it's just another typical speedy eurobeat song.

I remember how everybody was floored by 'Power Of My Love' when it was first released, but how many are still listening to it regularly? I wouldn't be surprised if the answer was absolutely no-one. There's nothing holding a song like this up beyond its initial impact and speed. Even 'Set Me Free' (which I'm currently enjoying at the moment) will probably fall off everybody's radars in a month too, including my own.

This was pretty much what I was going to write in my end-of-decade label review for SCP that you wished to read anyway WNight, so there you go. I just wish SCP would try to add more substance to their latest songs (which is hard to do with a song that's so fast like 'I Dream Of You'), since that's what made 'So Fragile' and the like so longlasting, memorable and special to me.

I don't think I've seen you post anything constructive lately other than "yeah, what he said", "QFT", and so forth. If you can't be fucked addressing my post (or other people's posts, for that matter) with an opinion of your own, don't bother wasting your electricity and Bore's bandwidth.

Well, it does have a para routine to it so I listen to it often.

I know I go back to this songs alot...it pretty much was the best track on 201, in my opinion. I do have to agree to a point that SCP hasn't had those grand, epic tracks like these used to (i.e. Super Striker, Horror Fantasy, Dancin' Alone, etc.), but I think SCP's sound has evolved as well. Lastly, I wonder because they are competing with new labels, we tend not to focus on them as much now.

SCP pretty much have thier share of hits and misses. I also prefer thier older trax. Especially the ones from Ace. T.V. Hero, Take My Breath Away ect...His has gotta inject that power back into his songs.

The female trax tend to all have the same vibe. Once In A While, one will come up and surprise me like Momo- One Heart, One Soul or Stella's - Forever Fly. I think I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed those trax alot?

Like I said, Yo- Shine(Still hate that name)'s new clip sounds like it might surprise me. It's 1000 x better than Power Of Love, That's for sure.

I strongly beg to differ with this opinion. Why? In my opinion, Power Of My Love, along with I Won't Fall Apart, were the two top SCP tracks from the 200's decade. Power of My Love was, without a doubt, the top track of its album (SEB201), and it was the beginning of a new style for SCP, with the beginning of a new decade. As a matter of fact, I still listen to it regularly, and I am sure that many others do also, although the song was released a year ago. Do people still play Yesterday, Night of Fire, Popteen, Try Me, Dark In The Night, Heartbeat, King and Queen, Hurricane, and the like OVER and OVER again? I do not think so. New Eurobeat is going to reach people's ears, but it doesn't mean that a song can not possess "classic" status, like the aforementioned songs, as Power Of My Love surely has the potential to reach.
