I'm happy to see that, except Dave Rodgers track, that all BPM is over 150. Fast music FTW.
I'm still getting use to the difference in mixing styles between Eurobeat and all other genres. It's so weird to go from a fast track to a slower track.

I love fast trax, just so long the vocals are kept real sounding and not hyped up too much.

Bore
Time's logo is still in there... Wonder if it's a remnant of the past or a chance we'd hear more of them in the future.
I noticed that too. TIME and Eurogrooves!

It's definitely a little bit of laziness. They used the template from previous albums to create the back and didn't remove those labels. I remember that it took Avex a long time to have SCP's updated logo.

The fast trax I like, it's the transition from a fast track to a slower track I don't like. But...I'm learning to accept it, and I still love the non-stops over the regular releases :P Though, I'm beginning to think about collecting the regular releases so I can make my own mixes.

NOT UP YET, but as a reminder, samples can usually be found at http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 221-01.asx

i tested SEB218 and it works still even after the mora/morawin change.

that could be because of SEB 4 U, i would think that there would be atleast one singer from TIME or staff working on it as well!? :???:

Its more likely that Avex still has many songs licensed from them that they have yet to use.

"Many" isn't the right word. "Shitload" is more like it...

That's a real shitty practice music lables like to use to show thier control over the artists. I'm not surprised AVEX does it too.

Let's be fair, Avex did try to release some songs from their vintage unreleased catalogue a number of times in past SEB decades, so it is a good idea to try in the future as well.

There's a reason for the lack of release, there's not a huge demand for Time's style as before. The Japanese desire for eurobeat isn't like before and what there is left is for the happy quirky energetic poppy style. Outside of songs like Bad Bad Bad (semi matches) and Go Godzilla Go, you can't think of many titles from Time that match that description. They're also known for their classic stuff more than current stuff. Time Records is more traditional stuff in romantic lyrics. Outside of a Dima Time track, there's rarely a mention of parapara.

I know for a fact that Avex was interested in Time Records style stuff (famous style of epic Gambogi/Feretti songs). Japan was always in fact interested in traditional eurobeat.

That is correct indeed.

All right, then explain why Time are out of the series then.

I'm sure it has a lot to do with changing music tastes and, relatedly, profit-cost balancing. You don't even need to look at eurobeat to know that most people want their music to be faster and more aggressive nowadays, which was never Time's mantra. Sure, Time may have produced some amazing tunes in the ~150 BPM range (probably because they were forced to by Avex), but that's not what they were known for.

Having said that, I'm disappointed that Time are out of the series - they provided a point of difference from the other labels in terms of style - but at the end of the day it all comes down to money. It's a shame that such a little genre has fallen victim to music industry bureaucracy.

A lot of all that is probably true , but im willing to bet that the Time/Eurogrooves people just got uninterested with eurobeat ...

Wasn't Dall'ora's main reason to start Eurogrooves was to get away from Time Records and their lack of care for Eurobeat ? (or any sort of drama at Time ?)
Just take for example NONE of the Time Records artists are active on any social networks or talk about Eurobeat when they are on there or have given any sign of life since their disappearance .. except for the eurogrooves page @ myspace in like 2008 :p

anyways all that to say i will miss Eurogrooves and Time as being the ONLY SEB label to have never disapointed me and always give us the best nrg there is. Still waiting impatiently for my SEB 221 to come in the mail though :p
