lol what? Oh, and is it a Gun/Boss mix? Or all Boss?Bore wrote:Got mine (without a bag naturally), but even without it I'm quite happy. The mixing could've been more imaginative but it's tolerable with the great track selection. Though the beginning is one of the worst ones I've heard... like Ever. And the demonic voices in Dance All Night are just appalling. Up and away till 237 ~
Oh and slightly surprised they are actually already marketing Super Eurobeat 240 on the booklet.

The Best Of Super Eurobeat 2015 -Non Stop Mega Mix-
Got my copy today too. The intro finally was different. Okay, it's "SEB Intro (DJ Boss Remix)" but it's not the same intro all over again.
The bonus song was great too, even though I already got it from iTunes Japan.
Sadly, the tracklist was (for me) pretty bad and the transitions boring, except two ones (Run To Me / Stay Together, Koi no Yokan / Hai Hai). It felt more like it was a pure playlist without interruption.
DJ Gun should mix the Best of 2016, DJ Boss became worse and worse recently.

Well, Boss did decent on 235...why would he go back to crappy transitions

He did 235? I thought it was DJ Gun for some reason... In this case, Boss' recent megamixes (except 235) were really boring in my ears. I listened to the mix more intensively today when I was in the bus instead of just listeneing it in the background while doing stuff on the PC. Except one more nice transition, my opinion stays. This mix is the worst of the post-2011 megamixes.

... Who cares? I mean, older SEBs had a blank page only with S.E.B. written on it. Why sould they use a different image if the back isn't even that important? Also, this happened often in the past.Lebon14 wrote:I mean, the back of the booklet is a mirror of the front... FFS. You can't get cheaper than that!
So, got and listened to my copy...
Tracklist: 3/5...There were some better Hi-NRG Attack tracks to choose from, as well as some great 236 contenders that got overlooked for 231 tracks.
Transitions: 3/5...Where some mixing is present, a large majority is just a few cuts and stabs before switching over to the next track...which, I guess long-run fans of the series are pretty much used to.
Effects: 4/5...I love those grinding/skipping/shutter effects. Also, some of the tracks sounded sped up this time around, so good job Boss.
Overall, I'm glad we're still getting a non-stop. I wish we had more non-stops, but I'll take what I can get.

You know if Vinyls were still pressed; some actual old skoool mixing could be done with Eurobeat. It would sound so much better that just the "cuts and stabs" that you mention. That's one of the reasons I'm not a fan of SEB non-stops.Bonkers wrote:So, got and listened to my copy...

If they were creative enough, that old skool mixing could still be done. The thing is, that would mean the tracks would need to be set to the same BPM (which, I love when tracks are pitched). I'm working on a mix right now. I'll shoot it your way when I'm done.drnrg wrote:You know if Vinyls were still pressed; some actual old skoool mixing could be done with Eurobeat.
