I was quiet enough.

Come down please. This is Japan !

American, european cultural habits aren't accepted in Japan. It's not attitude to negotiations or even having a request saying "I want now, I demand". Obtrusive, pressing behavior will be considered as danger and affronted.

Who from this forum is ready to sign a polite letter by your real name and your country, with a sensible request that you really would like to pay on iTunes for SEB?

Roberto Gabrielli offered help if truly exists a group, which will buy SEB in digital format.

He will contact proper worker, boss and provide your request.

SEB fan page used to promotion or any e-mail to big corporation isn't at all the way to find solution.

It's the only one chance again, instead of disturbing people in Italy or in different Avex Trax departments, where nobody can't decide or even analize your request.

Well, I'm risking have my own channel terminated now…

Avex is really trying to discourage and/or make profit from people uploading eurobeat on YT since they're claiming videos nonsensically these days. I have no problem if they prohibit/monetize/mute/block eurobeat videos and I will take these down when required but I do have a problem with them blocking all these videos and monetizing for songs I didn't use (many of them aren't even eurobeat)…

A fucking bad joke tbh…

(edit: I just discovered here that you can backup your channel data) :D

Only iTunes? Urgh. Nope.

For me to remotely make ANY letter with my real name on it, it has to meet those conditions:

* ALL SEB albums released not only on iTunes and Amazon MP3, but other platforms such as bandcamp, junodownload, beatport, hdtracks, etc. Also introduce streaming: spotify, apple music, etc.

* SEB compilations that were non-stops must have the mixes themselves and the extended tracks.

* SEB compilations that had edits must be offered in extended.

* Avex must NOT force the italian labels that offers releases on these platforms to pull down their releases so Avex can have exclusivity.

* All releases must be released at a fair price. New release can have a "full price" for a while then be discounted after a certain time (6 months?).

Optional bonus 1: release spin-off compilations such as Initial D comps, euromach, maharaja, SEB Presents, etc. compilations with the same conditions as above.

Optional bonus 2: distribute new CDs to Amazon in the US, Canada, France, Germany, etc. for a fair price.

If I can't have all of these, I'm not signing. I'm just better off buying the CD.

Normally I agree with you, but if we want a real chance at digital releases, we can't be so demanding all at once!

^Agreed.
Also, I wouldn't want to have non-stops with a second "disc" containing the extended versions. Only exception: If they use brand-new song like tha Barbie song on 199.
Also, demanding extendeds of each song is very much. We should be happy that avex at least tries to make SEBs available (even though it's not in NA yet). We don't know the licensing behind old songs. They only can upload what they legally be able to.

However, I agree with the availabitlity of lossless versions. I'd wish for a digital booklet then.
But since I'm a CD lover I'd only take those digital releases if they stop producing CDs.

You can count me in, though.

We should be happy that they're still making these albums? We really should contact some certain individuals to contact them because we, ourselves, aren't able to get answers from them? We should really beg for them to release their music like any big or small company does out there? We should really go through all this stuff and expect shit to change even though it's been over 25 years and they don't seem to give a single damn? Man, I could talk so much more… I don't know in which planet Avex & co. live in but I'm sure they're not that interested in getting new people to buy their products (at least, not internationally), they seem to pay little attention to their clients, I don't think this is good for business… or good at all.

All this talk about going digital was done exhaustively… I think we're wasting time. They'll do what they want to, when and how they want and there's little we can do in the end.

I have really thought about this post and already wrote it on IDW, but I think it's really important that we discuss this on a logical level rather than emotional appeal.

To another poster:

"The problem here is undue anger. I am very sad about the YT channel going down, but if they [whoever they are] had the legal course to do it, they did. Avex really doesn't owe anyone anything, in the whole scheme of things. By you saying, "we're not going to be quiet" and "sick and tired of not being treated like we exist" is emoting that Avex owes us something.

Imagine if you worked in retail and someone came into your shop, screaming and yelling at you for bad reasons, would you want and try to do business with them? No. However, if the customer is upset, but has logical reasons and maintains their composure, you'd want to work with them. SAME THING HERE.

I hate the fact that we can't get SEB digitally here in the USA, but writing an angry letter does nothing.

If I could write to Roberto, I'd say, "Hey. There's this huge, untapped market outside of Japan really wanting to buy SEB, digitally. I know there may be legal issues (licensing, etc.), but we are very willing to pay what Avex is going to make available to us. Please please consider this as it could make SEB more profitable".

Again, I agree with you to a point, but the way you write your posts seems like a bit of an overkill, emotionally. Find logical reasons and let Avex knows why it'd be in their best interest to make releases available internationally. Anger towards the creator/producer does nothing and sets you back even further."

Count me in, I just want on time release for digital SEB and sale of past eurobeat extended tracks.

Maybe I went overboard with my demands but I feel like they shouldn't make an half-hearted step-forward. If they are going to do it, they should invest themselves 100%.

I don't care about the principal compilation, Super Eurobeat. One of my objectif is to get every SEB in physical. A least what they can do it's what they do with SEB204~218, a fictive second disc with instrumentals on iTunes. But what they didn't do it for 201~203 ?
What I would like it's they purpose EVERY SEB on iTunes (at least) with extended alongside the edit.
For the price, I saw SEB234 cost 10€.

Other option I would like to see : return of SEB presents X Special SELECTION/COLLECTION vol.X
With these albums, they can easily insert extended and unreleased.
Come on Avex, I would love to see :
SUPER EUROBEAT presents ACE WARRIOR Special COLLECTION (especially for Blem Blem)
SUPER EUROBEAT presents A-BEAT C Special COLLECTION
SUPER EUROBEAT presents MANUEL Special COLLECTION
SUPER EUROBEAT presents DAVE SIMON Special COLLECTION
And more...
Im ready to invest in these albums

I'm ready to sign if we can at least got my last option

i won't sign anything till I get unreleased extended TIME songs. Seriously. Why keep them under wrap if they(AVEX) are not ever planning on releasing on some special CD compilation or something? Set them free already!

I agree that Avex needs to starting take notes very quickly about what their fans are asking for.

We need to some how have a way to channel our voices to better communicate with Avex. They need to listen to the voice of the fans for once! How? That is the million dollar question... :(

They are practically abusing us fans with their odd choices of releasing Eurobeat making it difficult to access, not writing back to us fans when we try to reach out to Avex, and mistreating the Eurobeat producers with their strange limitations and not letting them release even their older unreleased material given that fans want to access it!!

Why is Eurogrooves gone, yet their logo is still on all the new releases? Why do you continue to control the Italian producers' creativity so much when you guys aren't even making a profit anymore with eurobeat? Seriously, what gives? The only info we get are rumours, but why can't you tell us directly up front?

Can't they at least give us a reasonable reply from YOU, AVEX, as to why they choose to ignore us when we ask these questions?

Believe me, I understand how Japanese ethics work, and getting angry isn't the "Japanese" way of fixing a problem, but we tried the polite way and what has drastically changed for the better in the last serveral years??

How do they except us fans to respect Avex and their copyright terms when they do this to us? Respect is a two way street, Avex、 If anybody on here reading this who is associated with Avex in any way, please listen to us! You should know of all things, since Japanese businesses are usually known for their hard work ethics and keeping their customers very satisfied! However, we are not happy and not satisfied.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We fans speak out in fury! What can we do to make you listen if we write to you, Avex??

Being all polite and writing to Avex has been great and all, but we tried that route, and what did we accomplish? I can say that there are people on here who would have stopped supporting Eurobeat a long time ago by the way we have been ignored.

If Avex will not listen to us, what more do they except us to do??
We can't tolerate this anymore!
