Well, here's something new for you.

Mikaeru - Don't Say Goodbye

Yes, it's me on vocals again. Yes, I know I'm not a vocalist.

Although I did discover the method Melissa White learned under, might pick up one of the books. Won't make me better overnight (or overmonth/year/etc), but worth a look...

On to the lyrics:

Happy moments that we had shared together
Moments of love, of time will last forever
But you and me are not, I see you waver
You say that it is at an end

But I hold you inside of my heart
I want you to know we can start
Once again, all that I'm asking
Don't say, oh please don't say, no please

Hey, hey, don't say goodbye
No, don't make me cry another tear drop
Will I see you again, can I keep up hope that I can love you?
Hey, hey, don't say goodbye
I hope we can try another moment
Will you hold me again, tell me it's okay, we have each other

End of the day, I guess it's really over
Your love I won't forget, but won't recover
Sunset has come, the night I'm feeling lonely
Beside me, emptiness I see

Well, hope this is enjoyed more than the last one, at least...

Who is Melissa White and what are these books?

You can improve your vocals a lot in one month. A year or two helps refine technique and build vocal muscles. Also, it helps a lot to be physically fit.

Indeed, just look at how the women force themselves upon the toned body of Luciano Pavarotti! :D

He's an opera singer! :D

(That joke gets made almost every time I say that about singing, and it's usually followed by a long "politically correct" discussion about how fat people should be pop stars... :( )
Oh! I wasn't thinking of a Eurobeat singer. Right, I guess her songs aren't on my playlists.

I'm now really curious as to how Mikaeru found out about "the method she learnt under"...

I believe all of SCP's vocalists have a company e-mail on their own little pages. They're rather warm, and will most likely respond to their e-mails.

Actually, it's because someone mentioned she studied under Anna Gotti, and I looked at her page, noticed this "Vocal Power" method thing, looked THAT up, and came across the site. Interesting enough.

He's an opera singer!
Not for long. Wait till he meets someone from *the export industry*.
Then, afterwards, we shall likely see something like "Big Luca" tracks
on SEB. :!:

Yeah, let's take a look at Susanna Dal Gesso.

As you know, she was Susan Bell, Alexandra on A-beat C and used to sing on
early VIBRATION songs as Luna, Maria Valentino (?) etc.

She was a session singer or "pop star"?

BTW, are there any pictures of Karen Wainwright out there?

OK, thanks.

http://www.vocalpowerinc.com/publications.htm

OK, the book "Sing" contents include:

"Technique - 60 minutes: Breath support, Range Expansion, Vibrato Control, Dynamics, Resonance, Falsetto, Head voice, Chest voice, Mix, “Licks.”
Style - 60 minutes: Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, R&B, Broadway, Phrasing, Improvisation, Personal Style, Blues scale, Pentatonic scale, Special Effects, Blending Registers, Classical techniques.
Super Vocals - 60 minutes: more advanced and challenging techniques and style.
Sing-aerobics: 30-minute daily work-out, high & low voices. Warm up at home or in your car. "

Sounds good, maybe you found a good book here. :D For sure it will definitely improve your singing.

Looks like there's a book on Vocal Harmony too! :) I've been looking for a good book on that for some time, might have to order a copy.

Oh, really? That's pretty cool. I've assumed that no-one replies to "public" E-mails posted on the Web for a long time now.

How about the producers?

OK, do you want pointers on how to strengthen your work? I don't want to give a ton of unsolicited advice but I'm happy to help.

(I'm not claiming to be better than you, I'm impressed that you seem to churn out tracks so fast, but I have spent a lot of time learning about songwriting, music, etc.)

Ok, she wasn't a pop star, but a jazz/gospel singer.

Also she is one of the licensed teachers for "Vocal Power method".

Here is Karen Wainwright.
I've never known her name is Karen Wainwright though I enjoyed watching
that american toy drama in my childhood. Ahem, the identity of A-Beat C's artist Karen Jane Wainwright is wrapped in mystery. 8)

Well, damnit. At least her voice sure is hot!

I found some songs she apparently co-wrote on the BMI site, I don't know if that's the same Karen Jane Wainwright or if that's a pseudonym. Says she's affliated with PRS though. (UK songwriting rights organization.)
