Moonlight Shadow isn't by Jean Michel Jarre, it's by Mike Oldfield. Although not really eurobeat(more like eurotrance), E-rotic/Missing Heart covered it in the mid-late 90's(as heard in DDR).

Boy Meets Girl - Waiting for a star to fall(Dave & Nuage or other A-Beat girl)
Another possible 80s Hi-NRG cover: Kim Wilde - You Keep Me Hanging On, or maybe even Kids in America(would have to be fast though)
Vengaboys - We Like to Party(Alice in Paraparaland or other HRG girl, although IkeIke's synth hook is apparently ripped from it)

Speaking of Freestyle, Debbie(don't know who the heck she is) did a cover of The Cover Girls' Show Me, featured on That's Eurobeat Now vol. 7. Anyone heard it?
and lol, how about Weathergirls - It's Raining Men, covered by the GoGo Girls! Is this name even used anymore? I of course know of the GoGo Music label.

Don't know about Debbie, but San did an excellent Hi NRG version of the song.

Olsen Brothers/XTM - Fly on the wings of love
Styx - (Domo Arigato) Mr Roboto, covered by Franz Tornado(would be kind of hard considering its awkward structure)

Marie-Denise Pelletier - Tous les cris, les SOS
Yep French song!

I think Pamsy would be great for this sad song.

Youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDPC8kSJUsY
Youtube 2 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i5jVSaIfEA

Here are the lyrics (English translation below):

Tous les cris, les SOS

Comme un fou va jeter à la mer
Des bouteilles vides et puis espère
Qu'on pourra lire à travers

English translation, made by me

All the shouts, the SOS

Like a crazy throws in the ocean
Empty bottles and then hope
that we will be able to read through
SOS writes itself with air
To tell you that I'm feeling alone
I draw with empty ink a desert

And I run,
I'm hanging myself to life again
I'm drunking myself with noise
Corpses that surround me
Like creepers tied with braid
Without understanding the despair
The words that I send

Hard to call for help
When so much tragedy oppress us
And tears tied with stress
Cover up a little more love shouts
Of those who are weak
And in a last hope, disappear

And I run,
I'm hanging myself to life again
I'm drunking myself with noise
Corpses that surround me
Like creepers tied with braid
Without understanding the despair
The words that I send

All the shouts, the SOS
Goes in the air
In the water, leave a trace
Whose spum make the beauty
Prisonner of their glass vessel
The messages battle
But the waves brings them back
In star stones on the rocks

And I gattered the pieces of glass
I restickied all the pieces
Everything was clear like water
Against the past, there's nothing to do
We would need to change the heroes
In a world where the most beautiful needs to be done

And I run,
I'm hanging myself to life again
I'm drunking myself with noise
Corpses that surround me
Like creepers tied with braid
Without understanding the despair
The words that I send

All the shouts, the SOS
Goes in the air
In the water, leave a trace
Whose spum make the beauty
Prisonner of their glass vessel
The messages battle
But the waves brings them back
In star stones on the rocks

All the shouts, the SOS
Goes in the air
In the water, leave a trace
Whose spum make the beauty
Prisonner of their glass vessel
The messages battle
But the waves brings them back
In star stones on the rocks

This song is so sad... I love it and I would love to hear a slow Eurobeat song of it

Wow, those lyrics are so full of bad Engrish. Not bad ,but give the cover to Elena Ferretti. 8)

Try to translate a poetic French song into English. We'll see who's best :-x

You totally missed the point of what I said. First of all, I thought those were the actual lyrics. Second of all ,Bad Engrish relates to The way the pronounciation of words is used in Italo and even some of todays Eurobeat songs. Put your defense mode down dude. 8)

I think the idea is that you can't straight translate a song from one language to another without some personal creative touches. Lyrics have to be woven in a way that makes sense for the language they're being written in, so obviously a straight translation is going to sound weird, at best. :P

You can't do it without understanding the real meaning of the song's lyrics. Since I don't know it, I did a litterate translation.

Fun song...I'm a huge fan of the original song by Basil! Sadly, I have yet to see a radio edit or extend of the song :(

I wouldn't mind if Kiki & Fancy had covered this one, actually, but c'est la vie.
