ZOMG! You missed out a capitalisation of TIME!!!

Maybe you should quit while you're ahead?

I also think we're drawing close to the line where a song is less a true "remake" and more a song which borrows on the same ideas. I have Your Love Is Melody and I Wanna Be Your Love on my iPod right now - I agree they're similar, but I wouldn't place it in the same vein as the 200X direct remakes. The two have obvious parallels, but Eurobeat has a history of plagiarizing itself for new songs ;)

I'd consider them to be more sequels than remakes!

My brain must be fried on TIME songs. I fixed it. Either way that song has been in my top 10 since I started this thread :P

I was trying to be a little sarcastic with the word "remake".(takes foot out of mouth) Mr Sergio Dall Ora was defintely inspired by the Rose song. Basically the only thing different are the lyrics. You make a good point, however in that all Eurobeat "borrows" at one point or another a classic Italo Beat or Hook, but all have thier own identity. 8)

They've had their share of good hits, from TIME to TIME :p
I basically just put iTunes on shuffle mode this time and selected the first 20 odd songs I liked and then went on to making an "album" for that week, of which those 10 songs got played the most :).

I got quite surprised by some of the elder members of the SEB family - I didn't remember the songs on the SEB 10-20 series being that good, heh ^^

Macho Gang wasn't my _actual_ number one though. The no. 1 on my real top 10 list was Lalala by Stuart Smythe (you will never even care who he is :p), but it's not remotely close to Eurobeat and was mainly intended for use in a lil' movie with gnome sacrifice and such~

1. Not For Sale / Go 2 (always a classic)
2. Besame Mucho / Volta & Gabina (the Euromatch finale, and by far the most effective and powerful HRG song ever created)
3. Play With The Numbers / Domino (definitely the cheeriest and most fun song of her career)
4. Doctor Doctor 2007 / Lisa Johnson (miles above the rest of the Time catalogue; so polished and catchy)
5. Rain / Christine (surprisingly beautiful)
6. Dream Of You / Alvin (melodically brilliant; enjoyed ditz's OSC 5 simfile for it as well)
7. Viva La Noche / Christine feat. Elvis the Latino (the most addictive and danceable eurobeat song of 2007 so far, undoubtedly)
8. Yeah! / Christine (Chistine's songs are just awesome)
9. Queen / Mark Foster (fast, aggressive, and pure BBB; love the ambient opening)
10. Play The Music / ACE (not much to say, other than this is ACE's strongest solo performance by a long run)
