They can't pay for anything unless people give them more money, because the sales money is all they have to work with. It's "all they care about these days" because that's how they feed, clothe and shelter themselves— and allow the EB labels to do the same to some extent. It's entirely possible that Avex is on the cheap not because they're skimpy or stingy, but because they're suffering as a label altogether— not simply that they won't, but because perhaps they can't.Tiger wrote:All it shows is that SEB/Avex is on the cheap, which everyone knew already. They won't pay for anything unless people give them more money. That is all Avex cares about these days so if you want to see better covers, give them more money. They don't listen to the fans, but they listen to money. I can assure you that.
Thanks for saying that.zoupzuop2 wrote:They can't pay for anything unless people give them more money, because the sales money is all they have to work with. They are part of the music business (the part that generates profit and revenue) so it makes an awful lot of sense for them to be concerned about the business. Not everyone who works at a record label is the stereotypical "fat cat" figure sitting on piles upon piles of money, especially if their label is no longer as profitable as it once was.

Why didn't you informed us that the Ultraviolet track was Dima to begin with? It's from your own label, dang it.DarkSky wrote:Track 11 mystery solved.
SEB isn't the best at letting people know which songs will appear where/when. I can say for certain that I didn't know a couple of Ken Blast songs appeared on SEB (or Initial D) until after the fact, so it makes sense for Sjoerd to not know.Lebon14 wrote:Why didn't you informed us that the Ultraviolet track was Dima to begin with?
