Listening back at the older A Beat C versus the newer stuff, the main beat of the song is much weaker in recent songs. The secondonary "symbo" beat is more dominant and audible (and annoying if you focus on that).

The songs themeselves are great songs, but the beat is not really a good eurobeat. Anyone else share this thought?

The beat was very good from 1990-1993 (all songs) and 1993-1995 (Leonardi songs), in that sense I agree with you... but you probably mean a more recent change than that

Don't really hear your point. I agree the early ABeatC is indsiputable. "Atomic Playboy" and "Heart & Body" are classics. The only thing can be that namy times that rehashed main melody is used to the point of boredom. some examples
"I was Born For Burning" Some Manuel and Almost all Dave Rodgers, but other than that I'm really liking New ABeatC sound. Thier songs I do not love at first, but grow on me nicely.

Yeah, These sound very good and distinctful from other songs.

I am not saying the new A Beat C stuff isn't good music, it just seams like the beat of the song isn't as audible and clear as it used to be (eurobeat originally had a very distinctive, audible beat). Also, there is too much of a symbol secondary beat.

O.K. I get it now. You mean the more "Raw" Italo beat of songs like "Everybody Physical"- Body Power(Gianni Coriani) or "Hot Dog"- Mike Skanner. I do miss that. ,But noone makes Eurobeat that way anymore!. Even Saifam have morphed to a more "chaotic" sounding beat. This is one of the reasons I welcome the new SWA-like sound emerging in Eurobeat now a days. More melody
I love labels like HRG, but when I want more melody, I really go for TIME and DELTA. ABeatC falls somewhere in between the two. Manuel and Go Go Girls"Chaotic" Norma Sheffield, Brian Ice "Melodic"

It all boils down to the "FAN" When I make my CD comps. I usually put one "melodic" Keven Johnson followed by one "Chaotic" Jeff Driller...and so on. I love both styles the same.

Are you trying to say that A-Beat C's Bassdrum/Hihat loops are using a weaker or less audible bass sound?

I think he means the way the bass drowns out and kinda morphed into the rythm. No more "Raw" sound. Think Saifam songs in the beginning 80's to thier new sound. very noticable in thier bass and Hi Hat cymbals....But That is inevitable with the super hyper BPMs. HRG too, though "Maid Attack" has some awesome dintincful Bass in that intro.
DELTA and TIME are proboly the two labels that stay tru to accoustic sounding music. ABeatC and SCP are next, but they at times can get pretty repetitive in thier rythms. Saifam and HRG... They are two of my top labels, but yes they replay same bass program song after song.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the kick they're using.
