Just a note... the Amazon page doesn't the volume number in the title. It only says "Suupaa yuurobiito VOL" No numbers.

EDIT

Ive heard of these rumors as well. Possibly also Avex will re release stuff from 197 , 198 , 199 in extended format. I hope it wont JUST be known stuff but also unknown.
I guess we play the waiting game ? XD

Strange. When I posted that amazon link, it clearly mentioned "SUPER EUROBEAT VOL.201", but now it's just "SUPER EUROBEAT VOL". Maybe they made a mistake, or had to hide the specific title.

And we can forget February release date. It means always 2 months waiting from now on? Another thing makes my cry.

The first new album in an SEB decade has ALWAYS been around 2 months after the end-of-decade release - why did you expect any different?

I would anticipate:

March - 201, April - 202, May - 203, June - 204, July - 205, August - 206, September - 207, October - 208, November - 209, December - Best Of/Xmas, January - 210

If anything, they should give us some of the 199 tracks, since they still haven't appeared on iTunes, whereas 197 and 198 were put on iTunes in extended format.

DK Mike TJG is correct (post below yours). It always has been that : 2 months after XX0 album. I know it's long and it's because you been waiting since 6 months now for more releases. It's understandable and everyone here has the same feelings as yours.

@Tiger : Ha! Here it is :D

Compliation series that AVEX boasts of marked its 21st year. 2010/1/1, after two months SEB200 released, SEB had time to recharge and the new SEB series starts. The theme of VOL.201 is "Returning to Starting Point"!
So, they decided to reintroduce old-skool style, as 7A said on blog?

Probably yes, but I think it's only for 1 album.
The song I heard that probably will be released on Super Eurobeat Vol.202/203 really isn't old-skool at all, it's new, refreshing, and full of energy. As long as they don't go too far back in time, I won't be worried..

Does anybody else have contact with a specific label and can give us information about the song(s) they're working on?... Maybe Franz Tornado himself?

Whew, I was worried we wouldn't get our slower eurobeatz back. *acts like giddy 14-year-old-Japanese-girl* :D

We probably will get them back, but only 1 themed album: SEB201

They may as well be sticking to these themes continuously, even after 201, although I guess it's not a big deal so long as the album is still good. I just don't want anymore non-XX0 nonstops, which completely draw me away from the series.

After really jumping the shark since hiring 7A, I'm just really hoping that Avex will do something good to the series for a change.

I want SEB to be in extended format again as well!
And I really don't like these themes -.- *sigh* Can't we just go back to the format SEB181 has ? 2 discs?

And I hope they will use NORMAL covers, not those shitty no-photo-covers.

Seeing the price on HMV (2300yen), I compared the price with SEB 196 on CDJapan which is also 2300 yen (with the taxes). So, while keeping precautions, I say this album is extended format. How many tracks though... it's a mystery.

Themed or not, I don't care. It doesn't matter much to me. What matters is : that we have our SEB album and new material to listen to. :)
