very Nice song. Has a melody of
Love Never Slippin Away, probobly why they opted not to give a 12' release?
Unfortunately there is no 12 in exsistence that I know of. I own Sophie 12's and follow the catalog numbers and TIME doesn't give that song a number, therefore no 12', but you can use one of those Youtube converters to get the song.
If you do find a rare print out there and more than one, let me know. I'll probobly purchase it too.
BTW, Sophie and Peter Johnston were a synth pop duo from 80's that had nothing to do with Elena Ferretti's Sophie, so it's even weirder how you found this song under that heading.

Yes, thanks for info! I wasn't sure as I'm also following Time's, etc labels and didn't find any info about this 12" at all.
Only found info on Asian bootleg CD with "long" version so I was wondering "is there a 12" for buying"?!?!!
Anyway,
this track is so good, specialy with that arrangement; bassline & synths fits so good to my ears(brain) and vocal (don't need to mention, at all, of course!) is marvelous (as always!)
I was also wondering if it was (maybe) released on some Avex Trax or Victor or any other Japanese CD as 12" but it seems - it wasn't !!
Anyway,
I'll use that YTB converter to have this "longer" version but, as You, I'll search for official release (if there's any)! If I found, I'll put info here on the forum...
Thank You for Your reply, of course!

Extended versions of some of the non-single tracks from "The Only Reason" ("Only Wanna Be With You", "Talk To Me", "The Promise You Made") were released on an album called "Best Of Sophie" by an English label called
Loading Bay Records. They used to license TIME tracks back in the early '90s and released several 12" singles and CD compilations. "Dial My Number" was also released in extended, on a compilation called "Best Of Time / Italo Hi-NRG". "Where Do We Go" wasn't released anywhere in extended format, but I can confirm that such a version exists.
Thanks for the top quality extended, Mr. Newfield!
By the way, does anyone know if "Tonite, Tonite" and "Rapture" were ever released on 12"?

Wow, big thanks, Newfield! This is very weird though. You say it didn't get a single release, but I distinctly remember seeing a mysterious Sophie single on eBay last year that I had never seen before. I came to find out it wasn't the same Sophie as on Time Records, which explained why it seemed so obscure. I really wish I saved the page somewhere, but I don't remember what the title was... It really had me confused since it was definitely a eurobeat song from around 1988-89.

Hey Cheesmen, both songs are given catalog numbers on TIME records, but I; myself could never track down an actual vinyl 12' extended of niether song.
TRD 1103 Sophie- Tonight Tonight
TRD 1104 Sophie- Rapture
I do have both in extended on mp3, but proboly not the massive quality Newfield's originals have?
BTW, thanks Again Laurent. I can tell that classic writing style anyday.

original tapes converted to wav format, no compression or Avex squeez mastering...contact me by pm if you want me to spend some Time for you

No compression or Avex squeez mastering? That's good news

I wonder what recent eurobeat songs would sound like without that heavy compression used nowadays

That would be so awesome for last vinyl release presses that sounded pretty crappy. Around from 95- on...Who would have the originals for those? Maiolini, Dall Ora, Moroni?
