I dunno,I like the idea of having more time to appreciate 221 & 222 before getting hit with more new songs.

Thank god for the additional info. I almost spat my drink out when I saw "24 songs". Way to play on our fears of getting yet another megamix.

I guess that May release will be the one right before they take that summer break eh?

全24曲収録予定 means something like "A total of 24-song compilation is planned" so I wouldn't count on it. The way I'd translate "（ユーロビートレーベル9つの最新楽曲" is "9 brand new songs from eurobeat labels"

9 new tracks and 15 extendeds (of older tracks likely), 24 total.

Sorry, but I think you guys are not translating the Japanese properly.
It says this:

All 24 songs expected to be recorded (Eurobeat Label's 9 newest songs, as well as 15 extended expected to be recorded)

So that means possibly 2 disks, or just one disk, which will contain 15 new songs, plus a mini mix of the newest 9 songs from the last few SEB albums.
The key word here that some you guys didn't translate was "NEWEST SONGS" for the 9 to be included, assuming the 15 are COMPLETELY NEW, and apart from the 9 NEWEST.

BTW, I didn't use a translator, as I do know Japanese after taking many courses for years, as well as frequent visits to Japan in the past.

i think your assuming 15 completely new is not correct, 収録 here mean to compile/gather. 9 brand new and 15 extended and maybe yet unreleased in extended but not brand new recording but older is meaning.

How about we wait and see? :P

I'm hoping for a 2 discs set. Maybe that SEB 221 sold more than expected and went for something a little bigger...?

It would be very weird to release an album with 9 brand new.
Most albums release about 14-15 songs. And if there were any extras, such as megamixes, it would be a short mix at the end of cd 1, or a longer mix on cd 2.
That is why my interpretation of "最新楽曲" is "newest songs" or "latest songs", which means new up to now.

Or as you say, it would mean 9 new songs, but then 15 extended old songs? Which makes no sense at all but put completely old extended songs onto a new album, it would usually be in a non-stop mix style only, and not old songs from precious albums to be extended.

It's a very weird post, which I think only avex will have to futher explain as the release date gets closer.

The interpretation that makes the most sense to me is that the 15 extended tracks are the new ones since 15 is the track number they seem to be going with now. We also get a short non-stop of 9 songs from 221 and 222 (the "latest tracks" from eurobeat labels)
