Yes, it was released on vinyl by Time Records label (Italy) (reference TRD 1629). Check it by following this link:

Moreover, I suspect that it was also released on CD on Japan (like many other maxis of Time Records, released some years later as CD Single by Japanese labels). The main proof is that I got an mp3 of the extended version (certainly a pretty rare one) without the typical noise of a vinyl, clearly coming from a digital source. I uploaded it to Youtube few days ago:

I guess I am mistaken then about the vinyl thing. Time Records 1997 vinyls are very hard to find. I'd be surprised if someone had that vinyl too. That mp3 you found probably originally came from mora or ex. mu-mo.
