Thought this would be an interesting, short project for me to do. These people are what run SEB and Eurobeat in Japan currently. Some also get paid to listen to Eurobeat, so they have lucky jobs. This list is based off of SEB 225 credits. The notes in parentheses are written by me. Please sticky.

Here's my question: How do they decide which tracks will have routines, and are people paid to come up with the routines?

Hehe you've asked the same questions I've had for years. I've been afraid to ask though because there are very few people who can answer and most of them don't talk to me. If they are paid to choreograph routines, I doubt they will say how much though. That (pay) is what is important. Though, we can assume that it is not much since one cannot make a living choreographing ParaPara routines.

Are you going to documenting the credits for all SEB?

No, since I don't buy SEB regularly anymore. Only if I see scans or someone tells me something has changed. I don't care about SEB Credits in the past either.

for SEF, currently DJ Boss choices what songs get dances. In the past Avex would give certain tracks early to a club so they could choreograph them. There was a particular incident in 2007 when Avex asked Starfire to choreograph Once Upon a Time/Pamsy and they didnt want to. That ended in fighting and starfire didnt choreograph avex songs for the rest of the year. So typically, a club does whatever song the group of choreographers like from the CD (its actually kind of like trend forecasting - the choreographers need to know what song the crowd will want to dance to AND make a dance that theyll like).
