So is Initial D finally ending after 16 years?

Not certain 100%, but it seems so seeing this info..

I hope Avex will find a new way to advertise Eurobeat into another project.

Even before Initial D, Eurobeat was still known, so I am hoping they can find a way to make it popular without having to rely anymore on Initial D.

I am hoping there will be a new "project" to promote Eurobeat.
Maybe a new means to show off Eurobeat to bring new comers?

The manga volume for the manga has been released on November 6, 2013 and the last chapter back... in July I believe (July 29, 2013).

Fifth stage ended on a cliff-hanger, making people think that there would be a 15th episode. That was not the case. Later after the FIfth Stage, it was announced there would be a "Final Stage" and a movie (that there are finally 3 of them). Final Stage will cover the final battle between Takumi and Shinji and the ending to the saga.

Afterward, there'll be an Initial D movie trilogy. This trilogy will retell the story from First Stage up to the end again. The first movie will air in cinemas in Japan from August 23 and will be titled "Legend 1 -Awekening-".

What does that mean for Eurobeat?

Well, there'll be this compilations and probably songs for the trilogy too.

All AVEX has to do is fund another manga animation project to showcase its Eurobeat songs onto. Manga is popular all over the world and they have the money. Something along the lines of Zombies or some apocalyptic storyline would be great. Plus the labels get a whole bunch of new ideas for theme songs. That's what I would do, but I don't belong to AVEX staff,so they proboly think screw me and my ideas. :(

This is weird, because there were 19 songs that were featured in 5th Stage D Selection that didn't get released as extended (as far as Initial D is concerned) from the 2nd nonstop:

1. THE TOP / KEN BLAST
2. SUPER DRIVER / DANIEL
3. HOT HOT RACIN' CAR / GO2 ←新曲
4. FACE THE RACE / POWERFUL T.
5. SUNLIGHT / KAIOH
6. LADY SAMURAI / MEGA NRG MAN ←CD初収録
7. I AM MISTER BLASTER / GARCON ←CD初収録
11. RAIN / MISTIKA
12. WAIT FOR YOU / ACE
13. SAY SAY SAY / ANNALISE ←未発表曲
14. BEAUTIFUL LOVER / POWERFUL T. ←未発表曲
16. LISTEN TO ME BABY/ MERI feat. ANNALISE ←未発表曲
18. YOUR LOVE IS LIKE A MEDICINE / MEGA NRG MAN ←CD初収録
19. OPEN YOUR FIRE! / FASTWAY ←CD初収録
20. YOU COULD BE MINE / DREAM FIGHTERS
21. QUIERO L'AMOR / PAUL HARRIS ←CD初収録
23. TOKYO GIRLS AND GUYS / BEAT MAN ←CD初収録
24. KISS / BAMBOO BIMBO
25. COLOURS OF YOU / ACE ←CD初収録

Perhaps they mean songs that haven't been released as extended anywhere else....

The ones of interest would be "Sunlight" and "Kiss" if indeed they are extended versions? That would be something.

If there was a longer version fro Kiss, SCP would have released it with EuroKudos Vol.4. I know, it's a shame because Kiss is fucking amazing.

There is NO longer version than the 3:56 one. Get over it, doc. If there was a longer version, they released it (Bigga Boom comes to mind)

Avex has the right to explain the song itself in the territory that has been discussed between Avex and SCP, it's not about the lenght (radio edit/extended).

I have no information about the different versions of Kiss. But Lebon seems to know and says there's no longer version available. So there's ur information :-)

My information is "common sense". They would have released it on Eurokudos Vol.4 is there was a longer version of Kiss. So, common sense says that there's no longer version. Disappointing? Yes.

That was my point. Anyway, it's no longer just about "Kiss", but about all songs in general.

Would a label: if they should choose to do so, be able to extend a track or remix it if AVEX has the rights to it? I'm thinking out of the box for a second and take for instance a song that was originally released at a certain legnth; suddenly became super popular again. It could be for whatever reason you want. Could the label remix it on thier own, or would AVEX be an issue?

The company still owns the right to their songs, just not the distribution. And yes, SCP could pretty much come back to it and make it longer if they wanted. Will it happen? Possible but very unlikely.
