There are still some great artists out there, not mainstream though, producing these 80s style of music.
This group I found is making cool 80's synth pop music but with a modern touch to them in the vocal department, which sets them apart. It's the synths that are used which are 80's, but the vocals not so much.
This is the video mix, but the extended is so much much nicer...
This record company is called Mullet Records, and they produce 80's style music. They are on Juno Download:

Anyway, totally awesome 80's looking video! We need more of this!
If you are a fan of the 80's, you owe it to yourself to look at this video:

The part after the 2nd chorus is the best
Her hair looks like she was inspired by Cyndi Lauper with the hair all to one side, just like from Cyndi's Time After Time. Even the opening soft synth melody sounds a bit like the opening to Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time.
But vocally, it sounds mainstream like something that say, Katy Perry would sing, but as I said before, the synths have an 80s sound to them! Nice fusion of the 2 elements, and could totally see this being a smash hit on the charts, and more acceptable to those people who generally only listen to mainstream music and do not like cheesy 80s vocals. This could be an exposure of some 80's elements to them.
Now if only it could catch on in the mainstream music industry...
