Eurobeat remixed in other genres

I may come late but a few days ago I discovered this hardcore remix of Max Coveri's classic (and viral) Running In The 90s:

I'm not that much in the hardcore scene but it feels like this remix mantains the spirit of the original track while being 100% true to the remixed genre (hardcore).

Not like the EDM remix of Cherry's Yesterday, which imho gets lost between both genres not sounding like none of them :(

I think the EDM remix of Niko's Night of Fire was way better even though I wouldn't catalogue it as EDM. Still I think the Super Eurobeat series should already get over Night of Fire and start looking ahead (it's been 15+ years including it in EVERY single megamix).

I thought we could share other remixes that we have found on the net of eurobeat songs :) It's interesting to see how production changes the spirit or the mood of the song.

What I like to find in remixes of Eurobeat songs is that they don't abuse using the original song in the background. I don't have a very good reason for this, but I was just impressed when I discovered almost nobody bothered to make Eurobeat remixes, meanwhile in other music areas (such as videogame music) you can even find tons of remixes of almost any song done from scratch.

From the two EDM remixes released in SEB 240, Yesterday is my favourite. I'm aware that, in spite of using different sounds from the Eurobeat version, keeping the riff intact and the full lyrics doesn't fit the structure expected from an EDM song, but I don't think it matters that much. In the end, the track is wonderful and that's why I enjoy it: in fact, I like it more than the original. Also, it doesn't make much sense, coming from the Eurobeat case, to criticize a song for differing from the genre average.

I don't know if these remixes were focused towards the Japanese EDM audience, but I guess we can assume they were also made for the Eurobeat fans. In this case, I don't think we have to care if they strictly sound like a standard EDM song :) .

Well, regarding the actual purpose of the thread, the other day I found this dubstep mix of Speedy Speed Boy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67T97rmVqFQ
I'm not into dubstep, but it seems quite original to me.

Other things I have seen out there are "8-bit" and Vaporwave remixes, but I know this not serious xD. There's a YT user called Michirin9801 who has produced actual chiptune remixes (using the music engine from a certain old videogame system) of some Initial D songs. As far as I know, the first remix to became popular was the Running in the 90's remix by Sytricka. It was introduced to memes, and since then amateur remixes of Initial D songs are being made periodically. An example of this is the YT user Neko Teej.

Greetings, paisano!

There are other two songs remixed into Happy Hardcore/Uk Hardcore style, which are Going Crazy (Disko Warp White Label Remix) (which isn't technically Eurobeat... I think, but still appeared on SEB) and You Take Me To The Top (Happy Hardcore Remix) (Remixed by Francisco Gaitán), the latter being my favorite remix of a Eurobeat song

Oh, another song that I remember it has a remix is Lisa Johnson - Love (Alex TrackOne & DJ Napo Vs DJ Omar 2006 Remix).

There is quite a bit of HI-NRG ATTACK tracks that were remixed into Hyper Techno with the "Age of Techno" series you can find on iTunes.
