Wow, I am already in love with the current Megamix selection. The 160's-180's was one of my favorite TIME Records eras, and that's where we are appearing to be heading. I am thrilled to see what Fabio Serra has to offer with Baby Countdown, but who the heck is Sweetbox? I wanna hear some more Andrea Delfino and Manuel! Maybe even some Mark Foster (the vocals from Dance to the Eurobeat) or Steve Holley will be there to leave me satisfied - we will have to just wait and see.

I am thrilled to see the rest of the track listing, especially disk one.

Amazon JP says it can't be shipped to the States, and CDJapan has suspended their Air Mail option, and only DHL ($20) or FedEx ($23) are available. :(

I'll probably give this a pass for now. After four megamix compilations in a row and getting that horrible second press of 250, I kinda want to put my money into getting more CD's from the main series. Unless it pops up on discogs for a reasonable price, eh. Also I'm not digging the cover art. :(

Sweetbox is a group that was pretty big in the late 90's and early 00's. Their most popular song was probably Everything's Gonna Be Alright. They are celebrating their 25th anniversary with a reunion album called 'Da Capo', which was released in February. It's not quite eurobeat, but great tunes you should check out if you're into the more triphop/chilled dance kind of sound.

Now, this song on SEB2020, Koiototo Amazora, is a song released on the Japanese version of that album. Avex also launched a eurobeat remix competition for this song. Originally the song is by J-pop group AAA, which us eurobeaters probably know from Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride and Blood On Fire.

You would think the winner of the remix competition will appear on this album, but that won't be the case. SEB2020 will be released October 28th, and the deadline for the competition is October 31st. So unless Avex selects a winner a few weeks before the end of the competition (CD releases need time to press and distribute), the winner will not be on it.

The non-eurobeat version of Sweetbox - Koiototo Amazora:

Avex releases have been blocked for sales outside of Japan for a while now. It amazes me that CDJapan is actually selling them again. The cheaper shipping options were indeed sadly suspended due to Ms. 'Rona.

You could also see this as a brand new Super Eurobeat release with a non-stop bonus disc! The first disc will be full versions, and only the second one non-stop mixed.

True, if they're all new tracks on disc 1 it would still be worth checking it out. I might just see if my regular seller on discogs can grab me a copy and bypass other methods. They're also a middleman so if I ask they should do it. It just depends if they're going to do the same thing as they did with 250, being the end of the current main series entries it's understandable to make a limited print, I guess it just depends which places will sell and ship at the current time.

I am highly optimistic on the new songs for disk one. After the large amount of grand slams on last year's album, I have very high expectations. I hope they can put some Dave Rodgers Music in there, maybe even a few picks from the new EuroKudos album. I am looking forward to this album, but we will just have to wait and see what the track list shows us. :???:

Oh wow! Let's see what GReurosound does to Tomas Marin. After the phenomenal Spirit of the Night from Deemo, I am expecting something pretty cool.

I really hope Mega NRG Man offers us another Rock Me, Black Jack, In the Sunrise, or Express Love. But I have to admit, I was impressed by Nobody Loves You too, so I have very high expectations.

Deemo, however, is a bit different of a feel. I anticipate this piece is not going to be a thing like Spirit of the Night - but I do hope this song pars up to it. After Andrea Delfino's Candy Boy - which was a grand slam - I have really high expectations for the GReurosound label as a whole. But we will just have to wait and see what they have to offer.

I am already pretty excited from the track listing already, even with only four songs. Here we go! :D

Well, Amazon JP won't ship it to the States. So I tried HMV JP, and got this message:

Due to the worldwide spread of the new coronavirus infection,
HMV has been difficult to ship by international mail.
Therefore we have decided to suspend that
place a new order with the delivering address of outside Japan temporarily.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers.

So, I broke down and paid the hefty price with CDJapan.

Some eurogossip... The MegaNRGMan track might not make it to SEB2020. It will possibly be replaced with another one. Let's wait for the final tracklist to be sure...

I'm just sticking with middleman on discogs. It's a little more expensive but by the time I pay for FedEx or DHL and then pay the tax when it arrives at the door it will come to around the same price anyway.

Although, is there any indication that there will be first and second presses of this CD limited to certain stores like there was with 250?

No difference between pressings have been announced. There wasn't a difference with seb2019, and I don't think there will be this year. Shoppers on mumo will get a eco bag as a bonus though.
