For those who don't know, Maharaja is a legendary chain of disco clubs in Japan where Eurobeat was played. DJs there had many iconic sound effects that they'd play in their sets, notably "Hwa!", "Hey DJ!", "1 2 3 4 5 6 Do It", etc. If you listen to Touhou eurobeat or old skool eurobeat mixes they might sound familiar to you. These sound effects were stored on floppy disks, which were copied and shared amongst the DJs of the time. Unfortunately, after days of searching, it seems impossible to find audio files or a disk image of one of these floppies. There are many Eurobeat DJs on youtube who use the sounds, but they all seem to use actual floppies with a sampler machine. Does anyone have any clue if a digital copy exists? It's been driving me crazy

There actually is 2 discs with Maharaja sound effects on Yahoo Auctions, I've been tempted to grab both to see if they're the real deal and contain everything used at the time. 8000 yen seems like a big purchase for a potential scam

I got the discs! And they do indeed have a LOT of the samples featured in Maharaja
99 samples on the first, 44 on the second. Ranging from the sirens (pitched higher about 9 times ), the explosion effects and all the vocal samples!

Overtime I've found the original samples from their songs, but these discs are a good reference to have for what they used at the clubs.
