An historical eurobeat song

Post by Victor » 30 Jul 2005, 21:01

I was listening to "Illusion" by Jill Sander on my MP3 player a few days ago and it occurred to me that it is probably the only recording in which Dave Rodgers and Clara are together.

I propose that this track is very important in eurobeat history, for here are the real king and queen of eurobeat Pasquini and Moroni on one track.

Am I right??

Might be wrong, but I vaguely remember hearing that some of the later King Kong & D. Jungle Girls were those two. I'm really sure Dave's the vocalist later on (Love & American Dollars?), not sure about Clara, though I think at some point she was one of the backup vocalists.

Thank you Mikaeru and Pol.

I take my hat off to your superior knowledge.

I must say I'm not a fan of King Kong's stuff as a rule. But I instantly remembered that Clara and Pasquini sing as King Kong. Is there one where they sing together?

I've never heard Giorgia Morandi and C or D. Connection.

Are these tracks worth getting hold of?????

Thanks,

Victor :D

If I'm not mistaken, Clara Moroni does back up vocals in Dr. Money - Give Up to which Dave does main vocals.

Hi guys,

This is my first post here :) I've been a big fan of eurobeat for more than 15 years and I'm very glad to know that not a few ppls all over the world are now interested in this genre of dance music.

Yep, you're right, Shawaazu.

I'd like to contribute somewhat to this topic.
Clara and Dave sing together also in following songs.

FOR LOVE / CAROL LEE (G.PASQUINI-M.GULINELLI / ALABIANCA)
HEY MAN / MIKE HAMMER (GIANCARLO PASQUINI / TIME)
JOLLY JOKER / ATRIUM (MANZI-BELLINI/ TIME)

Dunque, oggi fa molto caldo, no?
A presto!

king kong's lead vocals

Post by newfield » 26 Aug 2005, 10:46

sorry Victor, but the singer is Mauro Farina as on many Asia and Flea songs...Pasquini did the Aleph stuff during this period and some Time songs after the Saifam-Time split, like "Hey man" I recorded with the pseudonym of Frank Torpedo.

ciao

Ciao Sig. Gelmetti XD

Wait a moment. "Hey Man" was released in the name of Mike Hammer, not Frank Torpedo. Besides I'm sure that Pasquini also did main vocal in some of the King Kong stuff like "Love Of The Angel", "Bad Man", "King Kong" and "Love & American Dollars" produced by himself for Flea label after Farina and Crivellente got out of the contract with Alabianca group.

My english is bad but I think you have mistaken the words of Laurent, he are talking about Giancarlo recorded under the pseudonym Frank Torpedo... not that "Hey Man" was published by Frank Torpedo. Anyway (in the studio) some songs was composed with the intention of an concrete "artistic name", however was another the final choice. :D

Sayonara,
Pol

As to Frank Torpedo, now I understood what you're saying. I'm so excited about getting touch with you, Mix Master. I do want to listen to more Queen 26 and Stephy Martini songs as well as Clara's song composed by you. :D
