how about a new parapara game on nintendo's revolution?

maybe some people allready heared the news about nintendo's new videogame system (codenamed "revolution") and the functionality of its controller: it looks like some sort of remote control and got a chip inside it that detects all motions in free 3d space and the distance between the controller and the tv screen what makes it possilbe to use this controller for a lot of games. one example was some kind of drum game where the player uses two controllers as sticks to play the drums. when i saw all this i was wondering about how it would be to use this chip in a new parapara game since the game could detect all the movements of both hands...

what do you think about it?

I don't know if it would be possible since the 4 sensors for the controller are around the TV.

Great idea but it wouldn't sell.

No matter how good a game could be, it won't be created if it won't sell to the masses... and we've seen the SEB soundtrack sales charts.. sad truly. =X

i also think that this kind of game will never get released but it was just an idea since it would be possible to create such a game. my hope was that nintendo is searching for ways to show of the possibilities with the revo-con right at the start. and there would be nothing better than a parapara game to do so.

i think parapara is not lost yet... i don't know anything about the situation right now, but before i came back from tokyo a few months ago there was some kind of parapara comeback. they released the gazen parapara dvd and the love para² cd+dvd and if i remember right there were 2 other torapara dvds coming out after that including some kind of pro wrestler doing the night of fire parapara ^^;.

one problem is that they have the wrong targets for parapara... most people interested in parapara are around the age of 20 but when i was in velfarre last time most of the people there were 25+ and those under 20 couldn't even join the event. that kind of sucks since a lot of my 16 year old friends could do the mickey mouse or night of fire parapara... but since it is only danced in the "bad and dangerous" roppongi they lose interest in it... so get some new (working) arcades out there and aim for the teenagers!!!

cuz i still think parapara has a lot of potential!

Yeah, fine, but para para had a big impact this summer in Japan. Not it's biggest year, but it still shone through as being very popular and trendy.

Just because eurobeat doesn't fly off the shelves, doesn't mean it isn't being appreciated.

yeh this summer was really not too bad, they even had some kind of parapara tournament around tokyo... but still it's not sure how long this will be... last time i was at a SEF event in velfarre i asked the main floor manager how long SEF will last and he said that he's not sure but "they will do their best"... :?

but i'll make sure to support them again next time i'm around ^^
