This is more then anything targeted at Mr. Newfield.

When you start working on songs, how does the process work-out? Such as, how does it all play out? I've been curious about this for some time, and I thought I'd just ask the question. Do you start with normal instruments, then later work the other computer generated/enhanced music in? Do you start with the lyrics? How do the recordings tend to work out?
I hope I'm not coming off as a pest. I hope you can answer these things! Thank you!

javascript:emoticon('')Well,

I have 2 paths for composing and producing.

On sentimental songs I start on the piano.Once I got the chords and melody I set a drum pattern on the Mac,put it down then start building from the bass, pad, sequences and so on.Lyrics come later.
On rocky tracks, first I need an idea for the chorus,a kind of gimmick just like the hardrock-metal songs.Part of the lyrics is made on the run,a kind of jam with the Mac,synths and guitars and a quest for hooks over the song. There is a theme, like DOA stuff or Initial D targeted songs, strong impact needed.
Listening to demo songs from external composers I just need to care about the style and say who's gonna sing it and write lyrics or give the demo to Clara,in this case she's the lyrics writer.
