another U.S.A. based euro label & project!

OK since it seems to be a hot topic right now, I'll jump on the bandwagon!

My San Francisco-based project is called "nR Element" (In Our Element) and the label is "Light Soul Records." The tracks are quite Italo sounding, with some eurobeat tracks as well. We are working on our second album - the first one broke even and is selling well on iTunes!

Newfield, if you are reading this post I'd love to know your thoughts on the samples. And anyone else, of course!

Vadim mentioned my singer, Eva, and here she is!

"You're Not There" highlights her voice.

"Adesso e Fortuna" is part Italian and mostly Japanese, also Eva!

"I Will Keep Going" is more like eurobeat and uses guitar and male vocals:

"Olele Olala" finally, is a cover of a eurobeat song, licensed of course:

Eva and I love singing together. We have actually been to Italy twice together! How wonderful it would be to meet ome great producers and see some studios one day. We are also on MySpace by the way - http://www.myspace.com/nrelement.

Peace, All! :-)

It's decent but it really isn't all that Eurobeat like. Also, I'm not a big fan of those vocals. Sorry if I sound a little harsh, but that is honestly what I think.

Lightsol's music bears a very big influence of an italian dance sound,
and I think that eurobeat influenced his music much.
Regarding vocals: I think that different is good. If everyone just sings
dance tunes in the same fashion, it will be really boring.

I'm not saying that it's bad or anything. It's just not my style I guess you could say.

Hey, Mes, thanks for your opinion! Gosh no, you don't have to like it. I mean just look at the differing opinions there are for SEB songs! Everyone has his/her taste and no matter how famous you are, some people will always dislike what you do. I don't share art because I need everyone to love what I do - I share it because I'm passionate about doing it and getting it out there!

And Vadim, I'm so happy you like our music and I agree that different is good. (Umm as a reminder, eurobeat itself is quite different from mainstream and is disliked by many people, sadly, but we love it!)

Thank you, Nine! Well we had recorded a lot by the middle of last year, and I think we're going to start getting back into the studio finally after a few months of rest! I hope to see another release, we'll see, we've been working on so many different things!

Good stuff. :D

Who's the main female singer you use? She has a sort Elena Ferretti tone to her voice. ^_^

Thanks, Shin! The main singer is named Eva. Oh I added an avatar so you can see what she looks like! She is an American, classically trained singer but also sings in several bands in the area in various styles. She plays the electric bass and the flute very proficiently as well! I'm really lucky to be her friend and able to work with her so much. :D

Yes it's very mellow - it was intended to take eurobeat and make is sound like our own style. Oh we're on myspace by the way as www.myspace.com/nrelement.
