ABeatC disbands! Giancarlo rejoins Time!
I was browsing around the net and picked up this press release:
http://www.italo-dance-musik.de/nachrichten/abcres.html
"it has been many years that I produce eurobeat for and many good times with abeatc have been had.
change happens a lot in music business and not all of it is good. I have chose to end abeatc because my best dreams with the label have come true and with the entering of my new album, "blow your mind" that it is time for change. abeatc was having many good projects, but with all things, money is needed. old friend of mine giacomo maiolini has given to me offering to work under him again and I accept. for now, only Time will save my music. to all my fans, thank you. i hope my new future is bright one.
- Giancarlo Pasquini
march26th, 2006"
I'm surprised I didn't hear about this here, first. O_o
I wonder what'll happen to the other artists working at ABeatC? And what about Domino's return?

Back in the early '90s, when Dave Rodgers left TIME, Giacomo Maiolini and he contended at law for the artist name "Aleph".
Maiolini insisted that only TIME records had the right to use the name and didn't allow him to use it for his new label A-Beat C, but Dave couldn't concede to him a bit about it cuz Aleph was originally his band's name that he had been using since he and his buddies formed the band. I have no idea what became of the decision, though.
Also "Wild Power" affair occured. As you know, "Wild Reputation" by Big Brothers and "Black Power" by Maio & Co. are too similar, so it's said it's because "Black Power" was produced on the basis of the demo left by Dave.
Accordingly, "Black Power" enjoyed bigger success than "Wild Reputation" and this was icky to Dave.
So it's impossible Dave rejoins TIME if anything.

I admit, it was funny. But it wasn't April Fool's for me, so that's my argument in my defense. If you would have done that today (April Fool's for me), I wouldn't have fell for it. Seriously, I wouldn't have. That's possibly the first one I fell for in over five years.... I'm genuinly not a gullible person. But you got me, and got me good.Cosmic_Bard wrote:I thought it was funny.
Fooling Sadie was the icing on the cake, too.
Shame you had to edit that away, it was a good laugh! ^_^
Did anyone get the mini-joke inside the whole thing? Let me know if you see it.

It would have been funnier and more credible to read:(if I may be so bold)
That I (Dave Rodgers) have decided to end My affiliation with ABeatC and leave the responsibilities to my dear friends Sandro Oliva and F. Contini. Also Domino's return will mean I will step down and being the man, leave her the honor of continuing with ABeatC. For me however thier is great news! I will again write alongside my dear friend Bratt Sinclaire and will combine my talents with the wonderful Clara Moroni. Yes I will now be producing at DELTA. and not to worry I will also be accompanied by the beautiful Nuage and Roberto Turanti(I couldn't leave them behind). So please to not be confused for seeing the names Mega NRG Man, Dereck Simon and Mr. Groove at DELTA credits.
So with the begginig of this new Era, which will now be named DELTA BEAT, together we will bring Eurobeat to its hieght once more. I await your rejoice and support.
sincerely to all my fans,
Dave
What do you guys think. How cool would that be?
Of course ,I do not now the style of Giancarlo's writing, but you guys get the idea?

It's always painful to have to explain a joke (thus rendering it dead) but here I go:
