Well I would recommend SEB 160 because it covers a wide range of time and styles. It has some awesome stuff like Dark In The Night by Maio & Co. and Mega NRG Man - Supertonic Lady which was on a recent Initial D album, to other classics like Ken Martin - Virtual Love, Max Coveri - Running In The 90s and Niko - Night Of Fire. It's a 2 Disc nonstop set of 100 tracks, plus it contains a DVD with a live performance by Dave Rodgers, and with that I would recommend SEB 165 if you wanna hear what's been coming out recently in the 160s (It has tracks from SEB 161 to 164). But that's just me. :-) Also if you want more of the driving eurobeat style check out the Super GT albums and/or Speed & Power Style albums.

I agree with the above comment completly; 160 would be a good set to get.

As for other SEB albums, I'd suggest SEB 81-85 since there are a lot of tracks from early Initial D episodes (I think....) and a lot of other good songs.

Well, here are some of my suggestions:

-Use the database on eurobeat-prime.com to find Initial D songs on the Super Eurobeat series. Hopefully where there is an Initial D song on an album you'll find other great songs on it too.

-SEBs 101-129 if you have any interest in parapara dancing because this was the height of the 3rd parapara boom. There are excellent and classic songs such as Speedway, The Final Countdown, and others.

-If you really want eurobeat music that is more recent than 2002, I think you should grab these SEBs: 141, 149, 159, 161, or 164. I think these are some of the best current SEB albums.

My favorite SEB albums is 156. It has a lot of great songs on it like Wild Reputation 2005, Imagination, DJ Is Playing My Song, Dance Into Your Fire, Fire On The Beat, and 2Love 4Love. A very good album! A++

I think one of the best examples of good eurobeat is 144. The Game Of My Name, Car Of Your Dreams, I Wanna Take A Chance, Night Flight To Tokyo, Wake Up!, Music In My Head, Queen Of My Ecstacy... it goes on. Just a great CD to really get you into SEB.

8) 160 is good, because of the range of stlyes, but my favs in the last year or so would have to be
SEB141
, because HRG Attack joined up and with Two of the best in years. "I Want Your Bailalaka" and "WWW.I Love U"

SEB 142
Because 3 great debutes:
Sym 1, Lisa Lion, and the fantastic "Horror Fantasy" much like Frank Torpedo's "Hi Hi Frankenstien"

SEB 153
Stephy Martini, Mike J. and not 1,2 but 3 HRG Attack songs. Simply a cd without any misses.

SEB 161
Saifam joins the pact with Great songs + van T.K Kika & Fancy, dave Simon and Franz with "Maid Attack" STUNNING

anyways, I recommend those, but Every cd has memorable hits, so save your pennies....and don't even get me started on Eurobeat Flash.

My personal favourites:

SEB 85
which contains some of the best tracks taken for Initial D (Be My Babe, Maybe Tonight, Running In The 90s, Don't Stop The Music)
plus some other absolute greats like Eurobeat, Harmony, Baby Don't Let Me Down, Forever Now

SEB 105
Has some great songs like Fly Me To The Moon & Back, Night Flight To Venus, Dreamin' Of You, If You Stay, and I Will Remember

SEB 163
This'll probably raise some eyebrows, but this is one of the few SEBs I can listen to all the way through at work without skipping tracks all the time - there aren't many stand-out tracks (although Super Striker, Got To Be Your Lover, Love Is Danger 2005 and Gun Boy are my particular favourites), but the album has a consistent flow that means I enjoy listening to it as a whole.
