So where are the people in the New York area?
I've convinced a club in the area to give me an hour for eurobeat this friday, 2/23. If anyone can make it, let me know and I'll give you more information.

Damn, wish I was in the area, I would definitely go.
What songs are you planning on playing anyway?

Send me a few grand for a day-before plane ticket and I'm in.

Well, anyhow, try to get some pics or something at the very least. Is it at least a nice venue?

lulz!

This happens at least twice a year in the Netherlands on the two biggest anime conventions :)

Well, if it grows popular in NYC it might spread as cancer around the globe, contaminating the people around listening to music with Eurobeat... I certanly hope so!

Oh eurobeat gets played often in North America at anime conventions as well, but this time a night club is playing Eurobeat which doesn't happen all that often.

I'm ticked I'm only getting there the afternoon after but at least I still should be having a good time.

I see. Eurobeat being played at a club is a totally different thing indeed. Hm, if I find a good electronica club in Cologne I might request something from a bring-along-cd... :P Let's see what reaction it gets out of the public.

If I'm going to do so the song must be dancable for non-paralysts and have a BPM rate of below 130. That's going to be tough... I'm going to give it a try in Poland the coming two weeks. Success almost guaranteed there!

Well, that's a bit overstated. :P
Eurodance - yes, but Eurobeat is barely known here...

That's because the gay community has always been a part of Italo High Energy success. :D

Being a Dee Jay in the 80's, I was required to play at some of Hollywood's most prestigous clubs...and yes a big part of the population was gay., But it sure was great to see how emotional they would get over my mix set( High Energy and Disco with a dash of 80's New Wave).
I think that is what is important. That audience responds positively. :D
