Ace feat. La Gatta / One Touch - Interesting. The synth melody reminds me of Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA. And I get the oddest feeling Melissa is La Gatta. Interesting song. Very euro (as opposed to eurobeat) sounding. I could get used to it, but it's rather different.

Norma Sheffield / Moonshine - Eh... I usually like Norma. Probably the only "calm" artist I like. But this one was a bit too calm for me. I might like it in time, but it didn't really stand out.

Domino / Cooking Boy - The arrangement seems rather heavy for such a light-hearted song. Go Go was a better song. A lot of nice effects going on, and I really like the breaks. It just... felt like it was missing something. Maybe it's that I'm listening on headphones... I just want more in the high end.

Pamsy & Shady / Yo Yo Baby - Holy crap, this DOES sound like Kiki & Fancy. Seriously. The arrangement, the synths, the harmonies... Really catchy, I really like it. Oh god... the "na"s... This song BETTER get a parapara routine >_>

Christine / When U Smile - Guitars... in a Christine song...? Oh WOW. I'm LOVING this. ^_^ This song ROCKS. Literally and figuratively. Just... WOW...

Cooking Boy now is totally different to how it was when I heard it last year. This was because of the changes Avex made to the song by requesting them. First, the music wasn't so... how you described it, heavy. The production of the music is pretty great, surprising for a ABeatC song these days... but this song is just totally opposite to what it was originally. First, I have a hard time explaining music concepts because I suck at that, but I'll try my best... Play With The Numbers was the frame of Cooking Boy. Japanese, light, catchy, fun. The song had the male vocals from Play With The Numbers, as well.

Second, AVEX and ABeatC demanded a lot of this song before they wanted to release it... like I've mentioned, they wanted it resung two other times. The original track was Japanese, then it was a mix of English and Japanese, and then they wanted it in full English. Second... either someway in the production - either avex or abeatc cut out the male vocals - probably 'cause random repeating of the original japanese lyrics didn't fit with the English version. XD Third, they made it, like you pointed out, very heavy and added many other effects that weren't in the original version.

Cooking Boy is probably one of the reasons why GO GO'S MUSIC exsists today, if most of the alteration of the original track to the track released on 176 was done by ABeatC.

Yeah, I probably would have liked the original arrangement. It isn't a bad song, it's just... I can imagine it being so much better. Like... All they needed was a little less on the low end, a little more on the high end.

I finally listened to the whole album, and here is my mini review:

Songs I rate "5/5":

One Touch (Wow.)
Loverboy (This is the first recent Annalise song I actually enjoyed O_o)
Moonshine (I <3 Norma)
Cooking Boy (Not as good as GGWYWGG but still 5/5!)
I Feel The Rhythm Tonight (Mega NRG Man should rename himself to Mega IWIN Man :P)
Perfect Time 2007 (The only Rose song I like! XD)

Songs I disliked will remain private, because as I listen to the CD more I'll probably just eat my words on some of the songs like I have with 175. XD Though, I must say, When 'U Smile is pretty good, but there's something with Christine's voice that really makes me dislike the song - I don't know if it's the effects added, lack of effects added, or whatever... I just can't stand it - which is surprising because I like her voice in the other songs. haha

First impression of the album as a whole is so so~ Nothing really bad in the mix, but not really that much spectacular either. A good example of the current eurobeat trend though.

Ace Feat. La Gatta is all around brilliantly produced and gets easily looping in your head.

Cody sounded kinda boring at first but a few more plays gave it more credit, nice song and one hell of a c-melody.

Madison is a nice breeze of nostalgy. Sounds like good old eurobeat plus the song is all around nice.

Domino well I do agree with Mikaeru a bit on this song. It sounds really effective in the c-melody and chorus plus the fun "dam dam dam" repetition is really catchy, but something in the verses feels wrong. The verses could've used a bit more punch but the song is still good as it is.

I cannot believe how good "Loverboy" is, this track comes SO close to the great Eurobeat sound of 1994/1995! Powerful synths, an emotional melody, clear vocals and great lyrics. I'm stunned!!!

Like a dream I saw you there
All on your own, no one beside you
And I knew I had to share
All my days and nights, just calling you

My life is a dream
And you have the key
Turning me 'round you make me feel
There's nothing more
I'm longing for
But love eternally

Baby you're my loverboy, loverboy
No one else is better
So do, why don't you do it now
Loverboy, loverboy
You make me feel everything you do now

Baby you're my loverboy, loverboy
No one else is better
So say, what you say now
Loverboy, wonderboy
You make it real, everything you say now

Baby it's okay by me
You can do whatever you want now
Promise that you'll stay by me
Now I found you I can't let you go

-repeat bridge-

-repeat chorus-

I'm not very impressed with the album this time around. Norma Sheffield/Domino back-to-back was awful; both those tracks were just terribly uninteresting. One Touch, as others have said, is all-around awesome, and TIME has a lot of solid tracks this album. 8)

Hoping for a little better showing on 177 though.

On the cd2 - running ninja "秋葉工房 remix" : what does it mean in English?
Babel fish translate says "Akiba atelier remix". Is this correct?
