Thank you for the feedback, but the project will be mixed in the order it's laid out as pitched.

Mixing magic can be done to make up for drastic changes in BPM, including slighty speeding up or slowing down specific points, or mixing transitions as an intentional bpm drop or increase to make up for the differences in speed etc. (ie. In my top 3 mix, the bpm of one day and play with the numbers is quite drastic. Without compromising the quality of the songs by speeding them up/slowing them down the transition between them lets one day "finish" so to speak, with some sampling of play with the numbers in the end of one day, then the 2nd half of the transition for play with the numbers plays - making the full transition flow proper without screwing around with bpm)

Plus, with having different people colaborating to share the load of the mixing, parts will sound different and stuff like that. It's all in the project :)

Nngghh at certain songs, all for love doesn't seem to mix up well with anything at all :P no wonder it didn't appear at any megamix. On the other hand it's probably just me sucking big time.

If anyone else feels like doing my tracks I won't mind, after messing around for hours and not doing any good at all with the 3 tracks I'm ready to give up.

Alright, I finished mixing mine. I think it's okay for a first try, some of the transitions could be a bit smoother, but with the limitations I faced, it turned out well, I think =/ So in order, it's Shy Gun, Baby Queen Seventeen, followed by Running In The 90s.

Anyways, I boosted the tempo/bpm to 1.2x without chipmunking the vocals. Beware, it's fast. :P

I'll have a go at mixing mine - it's been a while since I finished EBCA 4, so it'll be nice to get back to it! Only problem might be getting my 3 tracks to mix effectively (Rock Me Tonight and Mission Impossible should be okay, but So Fragile is so much slower)

I'll get there though ;)

My very first go at mixing for like...6 years or such, totally forgot the cool stuff,
so the transitions still lack a slight tad of class, but anyway here goes the sketch! (behold, a player!)

As for the intro/outro: make a intro in gazen-style. Really short cuts (few secs) from each song in the megamix. Or, maybe better, just all of our top 1 tracks.

Hmm. If Forever Young is already appearing twice, change my "last" track to Franz Tornado's 'Ganguro'.

Right, I've put together Bore's 3 songs as an experiment - see what you think :)

Mike Mix Experimental

Songs:

Kiki & Kika - All For Love
Pizza Girl - Bang
Lolita - Don't You Want My Heart

The MP3 is very low quality so please don't go using it as is ;) Also, I could really use a lossless version of All For Love - mine is only 128kbps MP3 currently :(

Thats pretty damn good!
Any chance in knowing what program you use? Or do you just mix it naturally.

I use a combination of Sound Forge for raw sound wave editing (and putting the final mix together), and a very old piece of software called ModPlug Tracker ;) MPT I use for the more complicated sequences where I'm doing stuff like stuttered riffs, complex blends, etc.

My method is probably rather more hands on than most would deem acceptable ;) But it's what I'm used to, so I'm sticking with it!

I can mix too. If you want, you can see my megamixes in IDW I posted but I don't gurantee that the links are still valid.

I posted my songs in the thread below. It's up to you Nine to put them in this thread. I will make the mix with the songs you want me to mix within' the length you want too.

Too, I will make my own megamix of the top 3 below with my chosen song and some other songs (4 only) that didn't appear yet.

UPDATE - April 6th

So, seeing the track list is complete let's start getting this project in motion. Here is some more information you all may want to know:

- The top three mixes must be under 10 minutes.
- For mixing, we're looking for a usual 24~ track nonstop album mixing style, so don't feel the need to only put bare minimums of a song in the mix (intro > a melo > b melo > sabi) - Each song can be 2+ minutes long, take advantage!
- Don't mix the top three mixes as a "complete" mix. Leave the beginning and ends harsh so they can be easily mixed together. You can leave the first track in tact from the first second the song starts to when the song would begin in the mix, unless you are mixing in a way that will not allow you to do so. If you do this though, the time taking up for that won't be counted.
- If there are certain aspects of a mix submitted that don't fall in the guidelines, we will edit the mixes (ie. to make them longer). If you have changed the BPM or used multiple versions of the songs (from different remixes, nonstop albums, etc) we will ask for you to make the changes.

...for the sake of making things easier, if you do not specifically express that you will be mixing your own top three tracks, we will assume that you would prefer someone to mix it for you.

The top 3 mixes should be submitted as an mp3 file with the quality of at least 192kb/s. I know we all have different opinions on digital sound quality but for the sake of this project and for the sake of sharing the final mix, we will be keeping it as a mp3 at 192kb/s.

-----

Alright! if there is anything I left out I'll post it, and if you all have any questions regarding this phase of the project don't hesitate to ask. :)

Okay, that's all I can think of at the moment. :) GOGOGOGO!!! :D

Erg, personally I'd have gone for a 70 minutes 70 songs style approach, but maybe I'll make my own one of those ;)

Hmm... Damn.. I wanted to have 30 songs in it... Damn... But I don't think this megamix will be THAT great but I making my best. Too, I don't think Going over 70 minutes because all the songs I chosed in the thread (Your top 3) are nearly all used... and I have under 40 minutes.
