I own House Revolution 14 and had a big WTF when I saw it in the store XD
Actually, avex started the whole series of House music compilations with men on the covers of the short lived Super Club Groovin' series (which turned into House Revolution and then into Super Dance Freak). I guess the Super Club Groovin' CDs didn't sell too well because of the muscley men with sometimes 2 of them on the same cover

Examples taken from Y!J Auctions since my scanner isn't plugged in to scan my own copies XD

"gay techno"
Ha Ha! I will not defend that at all.
The first cover looks like it could have been a sleeve for TIME during the 90s. The second one I do not care for at all.

I know! I had to stop buying Eminem cds for that reason! Everybody thought I was gay because there was a MAN on the cover!
Whoever designs this stuff just doesn't think!
