who sang these songs?

Post by lightsol » 28 May 2007, 17:01

These are the only songs in my collection I have not been able to assign to a vocalist... I know some of them are unknown still... but anyone know the answers to any of these new songs?:

Ale - if You Ever Leave Me
Dana - I'm OK
Gipsy Baby - Oh Honey Oh
Kochiss - Born to Love You
Mark Rise - Love is Blue
Martina Dry - Get a Boom
Mika La-Do - I am Your Barracuda
Nameless - S.M.S.
Neo - all songs
Ray Sun - Black Devil
Sticky, Tricky and Bang - same title
Vivi - Gimme Gimme Gimme

Here are much older songs I am unsure about:
Alisha Baker - Be With You
Claudia T - Watch Me
Gina - Rush
Johny Bomb! - Boom Boom Body Talk
Kelly Marshall - Now I Know
Leslie - I Want Your Love
Lucrezia B - Set Me Free
Rick Wild - Fight for Your Life, Animal Man
Veronica - Bang Bang Take a Chance

Ale - if You Ever Leave Me: not sure... closest guess would be Nathalie
Neo - all songs: that's Neo himself (check another thread for his picture)
Alisha Baker - Be With You: Melinda Kerkhoven
Claudia T - Watch Me: Melinda Kerkhoven
Gina - Rush: Melinda Kerkhoven
Veronica - Bang Bang Take a Chance: Judy Crystal
Lucrezia B - Set Me Free: Domino

As far as I know, the following tracks are Japanese productions:
Johny Bomb! - Boom Boom Body Talk
Kelly Marshall - Now I Know
Leslie - I Want Your Love
Rick Wild - Fight for Your Life, Animal Man

Wow, thanks! Nathalie was my guess too... she has that "Joga" voice :-) and duh me, yes that Lucrezia song is obviously Alessandra.

Melinda Kerkhoven... hmm that is a new name to me! Thanks!

This song is sung by Vivi, whose real name I still haven't figured out. Her first name probably starts with a S., or her first name is Claude.
There was this Claude-girl who once joined my Vivi fanlisting (which is dieing because I'm a lazy bum), and on her blog-page there was a picture of two girls with the caption 'C + S'. One of the girls was probably Claude, because there were a lot of other pictures of her on the blog, and the other girl was Vivi, as seen on the SCP Music website (actually, the picture was probably made on the same day, since she wore the same clothes, and the place the picture was taken was exactly the same). Too bad her blog was in all-AIM-Italian, so I couldn't understand a thing of it, and it's gone now too. ):

*silently continues his Vivi-stalkings* :')

And this Melinda Kerkhoven... Her name sounds very Belgian (or maybe Dutch?). Any more info on her? :D

About Melinda... yes I'm pretty sure she's Dutch because I researched the producer of those songs, Michiel Van Der Kuy, who is certainly Dutch with that name... and Melinda appears to be his girlfriend. I saw that a song he produced in the last couple of years was written by her, so she seems to be still around...

Michiel Van Der Kuy was known to coproduce such favorites from Laserdance,Koto, and Rygar. and some housy stuff, like Alice DeeJay. He still produces laser dance with Rob van Eijk , another Laserdance producer from 80's. Chester's "Laser Game" was homage to this style music. You can tell with all the space sounds and lasers used in the prod.
Even some SEB fans recall these Michiel prods. with femlae vocals.

01- Gina - Rush
02- Claudia T - Watch Me
03 -Gina - Let Me Free
04- Claudia T - Dance With Me
05- Claudia T - Fatal Destination
06- Conny Porche - Give Me Your Love
07- Diana Lewis - Three Times All Right
08- Jessica Lawrens - You're The One
09- Conny Porche - Watch Out
10- Alisha Baker - Be With You

Yep, they were all produced by Alphabet Records/Hi-BPM Studio.
"I Want Yor Love" is credited to Leslie Koot - so that's probably the name of the singer. However, the name sounds Dutch to me...
Also, Johnny Bomb! and Rick Wild tracks are credited to somebody named John Cantlay - might be just an alias though.

A little OT, but talking about those productions...

Does Rick Wild even SING at all on Fire Desire, cause all I hear is Leslie on that.

Strangely, I think I hear Clara Moroni on background on Boom Boom Body Talk, but it's probably me just hearing things or some female vocalist that sounds like her.
