Yes, it kinda loads really slow. But if someone can tell me which song it is, and by who it's sung, and possibly on which cd it was released, it'd be very nice. <3

I've been looking for this damn video for a year or so, thanks for finding it. :P

It got quite a lot of discussion on paraparastage.com and used to be dredged up once every couple of years.

But, yeah, that's 'Turn the Beat Around - Gloria Estefan'... I can't believe you've never heard it before. It's a disco legend. O_o

The disco legend wasn't that eurobeat-sounding. This is clearly a remix or maybe even a cover. And it's that remix I'm after. P:

When the video was posted on Parapara Stage, everyone was wondering where they could find it. A year later, we still haven't found an mp3 or album with the song on it. :|

I'm surprised this hasn't been asked on EP before :o

The threads in these two links discuss the topic quite well I think and may provide some answers. (?)

Some answers being 'no one knows what it is... yet'? (;

Thanks anyhow! I hope someone does know more about it, tho. :3

It kind of just sounds like a crude Euro mix that they probably threw together for that clip or whatever. Probably produced by some japanese person.

ha Ha. How can I possibly skool you in Disco 101? 8) The original "Turn The Beat Around" was by Vicki Sue Robinson and it came out in 1976( I think I was around 7-8 at that TIME)
This was Robinson's only hit. She performed on Broadway prior to recording the song and later mounted a successful off-Broadway one woman show. She also sang in commercials, including the "We're All Connected" spot for New York Telephone. Robinson died on April 27, 2000.
In the '70s, this was a Disco standard that earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Female Vocal. It was written by keyboard session players Pete and Gerold Jackson.
Gloria Estefan did a nearly identical cover version in 1994. It was used in the Sharon Stone movie The Specialist.

...and yes I have the song on vinyl :!:
