Cool idea for a top 50

Post by drnrg » 04 Oct 2007, 07:41

I was thinking it's TIME to post our top 50 Eurobeat songs, only this TIME with a small twist. Post your top 50 minus the songs from your favorite label. Example ; in my case ,I cannot post anything from TIME. To make it even more interesting, pick songs only from the 2000 era up. This could be SEB, Euromach, Europanic, whatever so long as it's Eurobeat. No hypertechno nor other genres allowed. I used this forum's database to ensure the year cds were released. In HRG Attack case it's different ,beacuse many songs were published after years of sitting in vault . Anyway, I actually came up with 100 great songs, but narrowed it down to 50. Give it a try and be surprised. No cheating. We all pretty much know every members perfered label. Be sure let everyone know your favorite label, so we know what not to expect 8)

When I don't have a specific favorite label? I mean it has changed from one to other all the time ;P All of us aren't as direct about the fanboyism as you!

Same here - I really, really do not have a favourite label. If I was going on consistency, it might be Vibration, but that's unfair as they produce relatively less than the likes of A-Beat C or Time.

x_X How many of these "post your top x songs" topics do we really need?

...and regarding favorite labels, my favorite label is now GGM... So, I will have a top 50 of ABeatC songs, pretty much exclusively Domino productions, from 2000+. I think that would be repetitive from all the other top xyz topics I've participated in so it would be quite redundent. :!:

Let's see, I can't list anything from Delta, Hi-NRG Attack, SCP, or Saifam. Even though I enjoy some labels more than others, being a true eurobeat fan, I really enjoy most the productions from a huge variety of them. I do not feel restricted to one particular style of eurobeat.

The only real problem with this is that if I per say took a while back in time I woulda said HRG was my favorite, then a bit further it was A-Beat C, then SCP, Then...

And choosing tracks by different times it'd just be confusing ;) And besides current situation is slightly confusing. I might even say that Blast is the best one out of the current ones... and that'd change nothing :D Or GGM like Phil said.

All these ststements are tru. You know I actually got the idea from that game "What Label AreU" That one would tell you what label you perfered by choosing certain words and phrases. Not every member is as easy to figure out than other more consistant "fanboys" (Everyone knows who you are. Including ME), but everyone has a "perfered" label, for fear of using the word "favorite" and in your case, Bore, I beg to differ from your earlier comment. Seeing your past SEB reviews and compliments and/or comments. I could easily say that your "Fanboyism" is clearly geered toward Go Go Girls/Lollita work at ABEATC or Matt Land. So in your case, it would mean not being able to list ABEATC material in the 50, but you could allways fill it up with SCP material. It's as easy as that.

The rest of you also have favorites or "Perfered" label style, vocalists, producers. It shows evidently in all reviews. The whole point of the topic was to see what alternate songs one would choose if thier "Perferred " label didn't exsist. Maybe I should have explained it that way :???: and by "Perefered I meant what label throughout the years has been more consistant with your top songs
....And Nine ,really...Domino. C'mon, your's would have been the easiest . (Domino's era at ABEATC) The 2000s restriction was mainly for me. Otherwise I just would have posted 50 songs sung by Gino Caria at AbeatC.

..And yes ALL labels produce great material that would have been nicely showcased in each countdown. I Really don't think it would have been impossible to list even 10-20 songs :D
