Everything that is eurobeat can be discussed here.

What if Eurobeat Disney were sung by other labels?

Post by para_rigby » 27 Nov 2007, 12:09

As much as I loved the Eurobeat Disney series, I did kind of wish that other labels were involved in the making of the albums. What songs would you pick to be sung by artists from other labels?

1. Reflection/ Pamsy
2. Supercalifragilisticexpalidocius/ Kiki & Fancy
3. When You Wish Upon A Star/ Irene
4. Colours of the Wind/ Robbie Grain
5. Hakuna Matata/ Go 2 feat. Christine
6. When She Loved Me/ Dany
7. A Whole New World/ Kevin Johnson & Cherry
8. Heigh-Ho/ Franz Tornado & Bazooka Girl

I never cared too much for the Disney/Eurobeat fuse . The style to me doesn't fit Eurobeat. At least not for TIME nor DELTA style, but I guess some Kika & Kiki or Go Go girls hyped up vocals would sound appropriate for kids. I can imagine the Seven Dwarves doing Parapara to some Tricky Sticky & Bang kiddie crap and that would probly traumatize me :P Maybe some of Saifam's, Lolly O or HRG Attack , but from the silly end, could sound listenable, but I for one am glad that phaze is over. I can't even think of one Disney song that I liked, besides Smashmouth or Counting Crows, but those aren't even Eurobeat so who cares. 8)

I'm sorry, but eurobeat artists covering Disney music without at least going under exclusive aliases makes them look kinda bad. Domino's pretty much the only artist whose style fit Eurobeat Disney perfectly; seeing things like "Derreck Simons - Under The Sea" or "Dave Rodgers - Livin' La Vida Mickey" makes me cringe.

I'm personally glad none of the other labels jumped onto the same bandwagon. Eurobeat doesn't really lend itself to Disney.

You have a good point there. They should use different aliases just like they do for thier techno projects.

I liked Derreck Simons - Under The Sea :(

The only Disney Eurobeat cover so far I really don't like at all is Hakuna Matata :P

All I'd have to say is:

HRG would have to get a BIIIG slice of those songs. :3

Except... ABeatC actually had a small slice of that weird-but-genuine Disney "magic" in SOME of the songs. It didn't just seem like an empty cover, but like a legitimate branch of Disney's canon. Which labels would be able to pull that off, seeing as that's no small feat?

Hi-NRG Attack's wacky style doesn't really lend itself well to Disney to be quite honest, but I do firmly believe that Rick Castle would feel perfectly at home as a Eurobeat Disney artist due to his softer style.

Thier style is tooooooo CHAOTIC for disney stuff. Fedderico's and Festari's vocals don't lend themselves to fit in those Child-like songs. Andrea could pull it off with his more romantizised voice, but let's Leave that to SCP or ABeatC's over the top female vocalists.

When HRG Attack produce X-Mas songs, it fits thier style, because they use jingles heavily in thier songs, but Disney songs just won't cut it. Besides I do not want to hear it 8)

Hahahaha, I'm hearing Hakuna Matata with a Blood On Fire-esque beat to it in my head because of this!

Oh he did an amazing job, but hearing Ace sing it would be a treat as well.
