SCP was a good example, but I don't think it makes them more popular, weather we know thier aliases or not. That is probly the reason they don't seem to have too many artists as opposed to Hrg Attack, and the ever growing stabel of TIME, DIMA and DELTA. To me ,it's more exciting the OLD SKOOLl way. I wonder how they would treat the situation if Vinyl jackets were still popular? Back in mid 80's and some early 90's labels would use certain models to grab attention and give thier aliases different personas. Would they have put Enio on both Dusty & Fastway sleeves or use different models? As far as I can remeber not many have showcased thier true selves. I can think of Giancarlo for Aleph, Fred Ventura, Clara on "You Don't Give Me Love" Gino Caria(only for Gino Caria songs). Chris on "Power Of Love", Federicco for "Danger" and Gianni for Ken Laszlo, even Giacomo Maiolini once appeared on Teddyboy- Ready For Love, but not many more. Anyways, that was just a hypothectical question, because I doubt the vinyl boom will return.

As far as the fakeness comment; I think they are just trying to make it more intriguing by showcasing different models for different personas, but then again I was a big fan of the vinyl jackets effect. As far as the proudness comment, why not proud enough to perform on stage instead of model; As in Niko's case. It's really a double edged sword, because I know that at many Iventi Partys they do perform, but they resort to the models at most Japanese concerts. It's really a matter of what the label wants the fans to belive and I think it should be respected.

Personally, I don't see what's so fun about presenting eurobeat artists with models. If the label wants to pretend with their singers, then fine, but I sure won't get nearly as much out of them if they're being falsely advertised. It just shows to me how insignificant the vocalist him/herself is to the label. SCP lends themselves a great deal of likeability for their tallented singers/songwriters by showing them honestly and proudly, not slyly and mysteriously.

I really don't think it's an issue of having to be proud of Eurobeat, again.

If you're primarily a singer from a European Metal band, or other sort of Rock band who has a hard, badass image that your fans buy into, those same fans ARE going to turn on you when you're singing mostly-nonsensical dance music in your 2nd or 3rd language that's known to carry a bit of a nerdy image due to its association with Japan, and especially the association it has with anime, thanks to Initial D.

I understand that the people who consider Eurobeat to be the primary genre they listen to wanting the singers to put Eurobeat first and show public swells of pride towards it, but that would cost some of these singers a decent amount of money, once their pre-existing fanbase stopped taking them seriously.

You didn't understand me. All I meant when I stated she was "proud" was that she didn't refuse to mention her work with Saifam, and the fact that she has recorded so many songs with them proves how dedicated she is to doing all of it, even with a rock band already in-place.

The fact that eurobeat is promoted the way it is (in that it's only released in Japan and thus causes most artists to "hide themselves") is absolutely pathetic.

Well, both Fabio Lione and Roberto Tiranti have their Eurobeat tracks listed on their official sites...
Aren't they considered to be badass metal vocalists? :D
Actually, I once saw a topic about J.Storm on the Polish Rhapsody fan forums and there weren't really any negative comments...
