Super Eurobeat 183
Based on how the Best-Of's (including the Remix discs) have been arranged, it seems to me like GGM deserves a little more room on Super Eurobeat. It doesn't seem to me that A-Beat C are still by far the most popular label, even if not by far the least popular one. I was just disgusted that the label was entirely omitted from SEB 182, as much as I otherwise enjoyed the compilation.jeurobeat wrote:Don't forget that people here are not the targeted audience of the series. Japan is. So the Japanese market decides, not a couple of people on this board who are flaming A beat C. I don't say I like the current label setup, but it's just the way it is.

By all means, I do agree to some extent. In the last 5 or so cds; I have only really enjoyed 2 out of the 5-6 songs they include, but like said, it's not up to the fans and I doubt AVEX takes into concideration what any forums post when it comes to business. Not much we can really do.
Can't they at least treat fans with the label setup that will garn the most popularity out of their albums? It seems to me that most people here agree that the label is starting to become repetitive and uninteresting, both of which justify why they should give off a little more space to other labels.

Oh no you di'int, not after Nine's comment.valiant wrote:Avex may be at fault. But I say it is Giancarlo and Domino's fault for screwing Abeat up.![]()
And Dima is definitely deserving for a part in the SEB compiliation.

Anyway, here's something to consider:
Yes, AVEX has chosen poorly for some labels in the past. However, consider that if that's the case, they've chosen poorly for ABeatC... rather consistently. Why would there be such a large selection of poor songs to choose from, then?
However, it would seem unusual for ABeatC to NOT have suffered when some of their best artists (and a large selection of their biggest names, to boot) up and form another label. And, even as such, it would be a TERRIBLE time to find a "new" sound with the new label sounding very much like high-quality, 'classic' ABeatC.
Pick 'n choose, folks. Pick 'n choose. I blame the 'new' sound. :3

That all depends on what era you concider classic. To me ,it was the 90's and though they still have quite a lot of potential(mainly because of Giancarlo) they lost points when Caria and Corraini decided to dedicate the greater part to TIME recordings. They also had a tuffer Eurobeat sound in the beggining up untill Sinclaire joined up. It's funny , but just like with TIME; thier strongest era was the Gino Caria. It doesn't matter who comes and goes, but unless they conjoure the Master himself, they will never be at that peak as they were in the beggining. The best thing for Giancarlo would be to scout around for new talent, What happened to Freddy Rodgers and NEO, Nick Key and for peek's sake go find David SRB(King Kobra) that was thier best male vocalist since Gino's departure. However, it would seem unusual for ABeatC to NOT have suffered when some of their best artists (and a large selection of their biggest names, to boot) up and form another label. It seems that labels such as Delta (Daniel, Paul Dickenson, Jimmy Diamond, etc...), SCP (Dana, Irene, etc...) and Blast (countless) are best at finding new vocalists now. I say TIME, and Abeat are pretty tiring regarding the continous appearance of certain vocalists (especially Helena and Annalise...).
Dima: The God of Eurobeat
Nice to see what some people think of the quality nowadays (and they have that right) of a label who did (together with TIME) was there during the start of this Eurobeat music. I believe indeed that each label has his 'up and downs' but it's really a laugh that a 'split up' in personal life between to people is mentioned to declare the quality of the sound of today
Yes, this separation has had it's effect but the result for you as a Eurobeat fan is that another label was 'born'. Linked to that one (who now is making not so much quality cause of 'no new talented vocals or perhaps using 'old' vocals
). Anyway without ABEATC no GGM. A nice structure has been created in Mantova on demand of perhaps AVEX. I don't know (smart move anyway!).
What I know for sure is that: I'm happy that 'old' vocals like Annerly Gordon are back on the spotlight. Also happy with the sound of ABEATC nowadays (good intro & melody & musical breaks & great vocals mixed with a clear sound quality) the departure of Sandro has set a new direction with Giancarlo and Luigi Raimundi (Ray Sun) in charge. In a kind of way I seem to be special cause sometimes I got the feeling almost everybody has turned against ABEATC cause 'Domino left him', 'Nuage was there', 'GGM has not the correct amount of releases' etc etc etc etc.
Like I have mentioned 'everybody has the right to say something' but sometimes is a big

The comparisions to other labels aren't why I dislike A-Beat nowadays; the problem all has to do with the poor new sound, which actually worked pretty well early on for tracks such as Midnight Love and Into The Daylight, but now it just sounds boring pretty much all the time. the only way for them to create a hit is if the synths are above-average for what they have left and the song itself is strong and spirited enough to stand out on its own (Gunfire and SYVTSAS represented this best).
I dunno. Speedy Runner was pretty good.#Infinity wrote:The comparisions to other labels aren't why I dislike A-Beat nowadays; the problem all has to do with the poor new sound, which actually worked pretty well early on for tracks such as Midnight Love and Into The Daylight, but now it just sounds boring pretty much all the time. the only way for them to create a hit is if the synths are above-average for what they have left and the song itself is strong and spirited enough to stand out on its own (Gunfire and SYVTSAS represented this best).
And, if Rodgers needs to scout for new talent... I'm game. As long as he doesn't mind that I've been talking to Newfield. ^///^;
