Let It Go is under the pressure of being required to be my favorite track on the album to avoid shame because track #17 has gotten my highest rating 3 times consecutively now! :D

I'm putting all the preasure on the "Just A Game" remake. Not only is it one of my all-TIME favs, but I was wondering if it will be as effective without the male rapping part. That was a big part of that song and kept it's energy flowing. I'm pretty sure the rap will be ommitted just as it was in "Heartbreaker 2007". I guess Mr. Dall Ora figuires it would sound kinda silly at such high speed. :P

Extendeds have been posted on NRGe:

01. GUN BOY / THE FACTORY TEAM
02. KONG / MARK FOSTER
03. SPEEDWAY / NIKO
04. BANDOLERO COMANCHERO / FRANZ TORNADO & THE"MAD COW"GIRLS
05. STAY THE NIGHT / DUSTY
06.DUM DUM PISTOL / JOE BANANA
07.GANGURO / FRANZ"MAD COW"TORNADO & THE YAMANBA-GALS
08.IKE IKE / TRI-STAR
09.EASY BUSY / KIKI & KIKA
10.velfarre 2000 / BAZOOKA GIRL

Fantastic to see Easy Busy in there. Ironically, of course, both it and velfarre 2000 have been released online to download (so I'm sure a few will complain about the choices) - me personally I'm just happy they're finally in CD quality!

Quite a heavy Hi-NRG selection this month! :???:

I've got at least half of them already... damn.
I would have loved to see "Shanghai" instead of "Gun Boy".

Yeah, irritatingly by having that much Hi-NRG they've created duplicates for me, even in extended form - I already bought Bandolero Comanchero, Dum Dum Pistol, and Ike Ike on Juno Download, plus Ganguro I have in extended on CD from Para Para Moo. Then we have Gun Boy, Speedway, and Stay The Night which, while I appreciate having the extendeds over the radio edits, is a bit of a miss for me. :???:

Still, for people who don't pay to download or buy the niche releases outside of Avex, this is actually quite a boon - and personally I'm still really stoked about Easy Busy and velfarre 2000

it's probably because his selection's theme is "Gazen"

Easy Busy steals the show this time around. Best pick for the extended volume definitely.

Man, the 2nd disc has such a "been there, done that" feel to it except for Kong (of which I've only heard a smidge of it off the best of Gazen album).

Where are extends of unreleased songs like "Space Cowboy" or songs that didn't get to really see the light of day as a radio edit like "Electric Woman" or "Stuff Like That"??

I feel as if I could shoot myself if I heard Velfarre 2000 again. Great song, but it suffers from Night of Fire syndrome.

What about Euromach extends anyone? EVERYBODY GO!

Wow, Gun Boy and especially Kong seem out of place on the bonus disc because they really aren't all that old. The latter never even appeared on a Super Eurobeat compilation. :???:

Unfortunately, Easy Busy is the only track I'm really looking forward to. Almost all of these songs have already been released as extended cuts, not to mention I already have Velfarre 2000 in extended format thanks to Oldies Goldies Vol. 2 on iTunes. Nothing new or interesting as with 181's bonus disc with that masterpiece of a track that was Lover Boy.

I have everyone of those songs except the two SCP. Stay The night is nice to have, but "Easy Busy" did absolutely nothing for me, but make me feel I was in kindergarten and the other ones , as allready mentioned are repeats. It's funny how we are getting quite a bit of saifam material yet no saifam on the first cd. If it was up to me, this is the space that I would use to showcase some of those newer labels like Dima and Blast and a shitload of TIME recs that have never seen the light of day on SEB in extended form. They would also seem like new songs to some of you Eurobeat newbees.

E.C. James- I Want You SEX
Lisa Johnson- Hey Superman
Toby Ash- Not This TIME
Stop Limit Line- Body To Body

You can purchase "Shanghai" on Saifams download site. That's where I got mine. I didn't really care too much for it, so I traded it for "Tekno Samurai" Much better song 8)

I'm just happy Easy Busy's getting some more recognition. I say it's a huge shame it hasn't made it on a xx0 compilation. :B

That isn't too surprising. Did you forget about Caballero with Sombrero (Baby Bazooka's version), Emotions and Tsunami Comes?
#Infinity wrote:The latter never even appeared on a Super Eurobeat compilation.
Caballero with Sombrero (again) was never featured on a Super Eurobeat compilation either until 181. Avex still actively licenses most of Saifam's tracks so they're quite welcome to use them as extendeds on these CDs.

All that aside, this is a horrible extended selection. There's nothing wrong with the songs themselves, but what is the point in choosing tracks that have already been released as extendeds from elsewhere? It's amazing that Avex still doesn't realise that they draw in more sales when fresh material is offered on the second disc, otherwise it's just a waste of money. They have such a massive selection to choose from and they've blown it yet again. I'm disappointed and unamused.

The tracks you mentioned have already established themselves as major classics, even though they're not that old. Not too sure about Baby Bazooka's Caballero With Sombrero, but it is still a cover of a song that was made in 2001.

I think they're mainly trying to make it easier for fans to buy older classics in extended format more easily since it gives them far stronger promotion, not to mention the older Super Eurobeat albums are rather difficult to come by. I agree that the selection this time is rather mediocre due to the overexposing of Hi-NRG Attack despite their activity on junodownload.com (their eurobeat isn't accesible to Japan though iTunes if I'm correct), but while I love getting rare gems such as Lover Boy and Euromach extensions such as Easy Busy, they aren't the sole components of the extra disc.
