Name or info on singer

Post by Reinvention225 » 01 Nov 2004, 06:17

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site, so forgive me if this question has already been asked and I have just overlooked it. I was curious to know if anyone knows the biography on a singer who has worked with Time Records for a few years. She and Clara Moroni sound similar, but I can usually always tell them apart. This girl sang as Ann Sinclair, Dolly, and even took on the Vanessa name when Clara left to start Delta.

I'd really love to know anything about her. I haven't heard her much since her last appearance on SEB 105.

Thanks for everyone's time

Are you referring now to Emmanuelle Gubinelli or Elena Ferretti(Feretti Fereti)... as Emmanuelle made her last appearences around the times you said, but I had this faint feeling that it was Elena who sang as some of the aliases you mentioned...

No not Elena. If I am correct, Elena was the voice for Sophie, Helena, Alexis, etc etc.

I guess then the one I am talking about is named Emanuelle? It would have to be because Elena has such a lower more adult sounding voice. I don't really care for her voice to be quite honest. She had a very thick Italian accent. However this other girl was very youthful/perky sounding.

Thanks again

Well if you mean Emmanuelle her most memorable title (at least in my opinion) is Ika, so are you referring to her? And yeah, her voice is much closer to Clara's than Elena's... but I've always thought that she and Clara sound really much alike.

Yes Emmanuelle. At least I know her name now. I actually prefer her to Clara's voice, and I do love Clara. She's so talented and can change her voice up quite a bit. I guess it's just a preference thing for me. I have also noticed that Emmanuelle's voice has been changed several times through-out the years. On certain songs (usually her older songs sung under the name of Morena) her voice is a lot lower. Towards the end of her career with Time, they made her voice quite a bit higher (Ika for example). I wish she would come back. She sang in English so well. I really couldn't detect any accent from her either.

Oh.. actually Emmanuelle did do songs after seb 105... but they are masked rather well, this was told to me that if you listen to any of the Kim Loren songs you'll hear her, as it's both Emmanuelle and Elena together... with some heavy vocal manipulation.

Oh and from what I know she also sang at least one song for Delta... the very first Leslie Parrish song 'Heart Of Stone' is by Emmanuelle... It's very obvious and very Ika-ish.

Thank you for confirming that about Leslie Parrish. I knew that, that could not possibly be Clara on "Heart of Stone". And I had no idea that Emmanuelle was Kim Loren. Does she sing as Giselle too? Now that I listen to those songs again, I can sort of hear her voice coming through.. It is heavily manipulated, like you said.

Thanks again

I remembered you mentioning that Emmanuelle took the title of Vanessa after Clara left to Delta but I honestly didn't before really notice where that came from, but yesterday I was listening to SEB97 and noticed that she was the vocalist, and in addition she co-wrote the song... Bye Bye rocks by the way...
Would be great to get more of Emmanuelle.

And Giselle is a bit of a mystery to me, I can't really identify the vocalist with any of the major players at hand... they've manipulated the vocals so big time that I just hear... a girl.

Emmanuella is one of the most prolific singers in the history of italian music, right up there with Clara Moroni, Annerly Gordon & Gianni Coraini. Emmanuella Gubinelli's most famous moniker is Taleesa. Her work with Co.Ro had a worldwide hit with "Because The Night". You will find her voice on hundreds (maybe thousands) or records on many different labels.

You can find her informations here and her blog.

I have a feeling that she also sang under the name of Manuela on Hi-Tension Record, Belgium, so you could check her youthful but perfect vocals on JUST FOR YOU (Eurobeat Fantasy vol. 4 or The Early Days Of Super Eurobeat - Euro Lovers) and FEEL THE ACTION (Eurobeat Fantasy vol. 9) as she would have been just 15-16 Y/O then. :o
